Beers

That's it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting so sick of checking out Chit Chat and seeing "How to get to Heaven When You Die" at the top of the page!!!!!!!!!!!

Duuuuuuuuuuude and Think Tank need to call each other and hash this out!!:flipoff:

Meanwhile the "Beers" thread sits 5 pages back, just below "Nose Pickers".....WTF?!?!

I've had it, and I'm going to do something about it......If I have to try a new beer every day to keep "beers" on top of "How to get to Heaven", then so be it!!!!!!

First off is a great beer from my own town in Longmont.......Warrior IPA. They changed their label which I'm pretty happy about. We left "Left Hand" the other night and stopped to get some Pliny the Elder....Good Choice!

While at the store, we grabbed some Red Chair.....not that great but good beer......we also got more Pliny "thumbsup"

I've been working on the perfect steak the past few weeks, and I think I have it wired......I really like the "Hop 15" from Port Brewing, so I figured I would try the IPA as well. Not bad, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I had to keg some beer tonight, and figured I would grab something new......I can't tell you how much I like Ska Brewing, so when I saw this, I had to grab it......very boozey, but very tasty!!!!

And now onto one of my local favorites......Upslope IPA. This is one of my favorite beers. Very tasty and a very friendly tasting room. Check them out if you are in Boulder .............they also have good rocks outside their brewery "thumbsup"

And now for my own.....I grabbed these beers to drink while kegging. 10 more gallons for me!!!!

Pushing the Heaven thread down!

Had to do some work on the PSC so I grabbed a Dale's Pale Ale out of the fridge.....one of my favorites these days. I started Mountain Biking with Dale before I knew who he was.......funny how things turn out.

I'm trying!! Feel like all the beer drinkers have abandoned me though

Damn juan, having a bit of a beer festival?lol

I'm on a BEER CRUSADE!!!!!!!!! It's me against all the Heaven thread bumpers!!

(I like bacon pasties "thumbsup")

Well it was time to change the oil in the old 4Runner, so I figured why not purchase a tasty beverage on the way home? (am I the only one who thinks these things?)

Since I was changing oil, I HAD to grab this guy!!!! I've been trying all of Port Brewing's beers the past few weeks, and have liked them all. Old Viscosity does not disappoint! They won't say on the label what style it falls into, but my guess would be Imperial Stout. It clocks in at an even 10% and is one of the tastiest stouts I've tried. My cat likes smelling my breath when I'm drinking beer.....I just breathed on her and she went to sleep. Not as smooth as Left Hand's Milk Stout but it does have more kick.....a bit boozy, but I like that.

I was going to take a picture with the light shining through, but the light does not shine through......this is not your Daddy's Motor Oil

(take that Heaven Thread bumpers :flipoff:)

Ive had a few new brews in the last few days.

1st: Ken Schmidt / Maui / Stone/ Kona Coffee Macadamia Coconut Porter.
Unfortunately Ive only got pics of my empties but the Kona beer was a very dark thick beer which light could barely pass through. The smell and taste was very strong with the kona coffee with hints of macadamia and chocolate i was a little bummed i had trouble tasting the coconut. But it deffinatly was a good beer that Im glad i tried and grabbed a couple to age.

2nd: Balast Point Big Eye IPA.
A very good IPA but nothing special. It has a nice bitterness and decent citrus, piney, and slightly malty flavors.

3rd: Leafer Madness Imperial Pale Ale
This beer was a very murky orange. It tasted awesome and was actually maltier and sweeter then i expected. The 9% abv was barely noticeable and I can see getting buzzed pretty easily from a couple of these. I mostly got this beer because of the name (and the picture of all those tasty hops) and it did not disappoint.

I also have to say thanks to whoever on here first posted the pliny, I got it for shoei1's b-day and it is pure heaven I've yet to have an IPA so delicious.

Thanks for the gift. We still have more beers to try in the fridge.

i dont know how budwieser can be drank and thought to be
descent beer. just had to get that off my chest. it tastes like
nothing.

two words "AM, STEL" amstel is a clean crisp refreshment of choice
for me atm. a new bottle shop has opened near me and i will see if there
is anything mentioned on this thread. doubt it.

mite get some stout.

take that heaven thread!

I bought some Monty Python's Holy Ail as a joke for a party a while ago. It's actually really good and I bought some more for myself.

Not as refreshing as Coors but it's good.

Doesn't it say under the name Ale?

And then again Ale aged in Oak barrels?

An imperial stout would be an ale you natty ice drinkers just think all beer is the same

All stouts are ales but not all ales are stouts.....kind of like all Natty Ice is lagers but not all lagers are Natty Ice.

The label on Old Viscosity says that it won't say exactly what kind of ale it is, but the website says:

"Old Viscosity blurs the boundaries of Porter, Stout, Old Ale and Barleywines."

All I know is I might be picking up another one of these soon......the weather in Colorado just turned cold again, and I like stouts in winter.

.

have a glass ready for me tomorrow so I can make it through the Hanna Montana concert...
