Rock Crawler
Ok guys and gals this is what I am trying to figure out, do I want a 1/16 Revo or a Slash 4x4. I currently have a Slash with a Mamba Max, a Cliff Climber, 2 1.9 Scalers, and CC-01. My crawlin needs are pretty much covered and I have a go fast toy with the Mamba Slash. I was all jacked up when the 1/16 trucks came out and decided on a Revo because I have read that their wider track makes them handle a little better. Then the Slash 4x4 came out and that is what I wanted. I want something fast and 4wd that handles a little better than the Slash.
Since then I have gotten to thinking. The sub-division that I live in is really filling up so there isn't really any dirt or off road places left around the house other than my crawling spot. With a wife and a 11 month old its hard to find time to go to a track or looking for a place to run so most of my rc'ing is in the street in front of the house or at the crawling spot below the house. So my latest train of thought is that the 1/16 Revo would be the best for me for several reasons:
1. I already have a Slash
2. The small size would make it great for running in the driveway
3. It would be tough and rugged enough to do a little jumping in a low cut yard.
4. Its around $100 cheaper
I'm looking for opinions here folks. To those who have driven both, given my limited running area which would you recommend? Thanks in advnce for all the great info I know I am going to get."thumbsup"
