Thank you.

Only cosmetic work to 1 headlight? Lol when I saw them mocked up I was like "Those aren't gonna last long". But you built them so their probobly indestructable. lol

Yeah was surprised I didnt pop them both on the back flip.

Ive actually got some pictures to take of a few small updates like seats and better headlights plus some comp shots.

So ..... as I gather parts for my winter build I figured it would be a good time to do a few things to the FB.

After a couple hours I had it all down to the bare frame ............ now where to start .......

Ive got the frame out getting sandblasted so I can do some braze work but for now I figured I rebuild the engine.

Tore the block all down

I appreciate the sticker offer but with the way I drive the FB Ill just tear them up again lol. The styrenes holding up great though, i still cringe when i bang the punmpkins.

great work, the brakes look killer"thumbsup"
Have you had any problems with your t-rex60 axles?

Thanks. No major problems yet, spools and axles are holding strong. they are the plastic housing ones and did crack 1 nut hole where the pan hard connects. Other then that the only major thing I did was use the aluminum mounts and sink a 4-40 grub screw through them into the plastic housing. With the mounts tight the axles still wanted to spin a bit inside them. Would buy another set of plastic but aluminum would help for the weight too.

Wild and amazing! the clearance on the brakes is insane!

Thanks, it took some trial and era plus some sanding to get them in there lol.

uh yeah,,what they said,,,,all of them, everyone who has said anything in your thread,,,"insert here"

incredible work

Thanks.

LOL yeah right now Ive got a box slowly getting filled up with 'the next project is' parts. Got an OG Bruiser and Blazer frame sitting in the box and a headful of ideas ........

just went threw the whole thread, absolutly awesome work with both metal and styrene the bar just keep getting set higher and higher !

- what are you using for filler and flux???
-also you mentiond, giving the frame a hot bath, what does that help in the brazing process?
- are you notching your tubes to get a flush joint before brazing them? if so how are you notching them?
- did you have any problems brazing something new close to another joint and messing eather up?
im starting to play with brazing and thought id ask sence your metal work is top notch..

Thanks. Harris Safty Silvr 45 and Harris flux, just the regular stuff every talks about in here.

The hot bath helps wash any flux residue off.

I use 2 files you can buy from Home Depot. Look for the round files they sell for sharpening chainsaws. The little one helps get the notch started center then the bigger one matches it to the tube diameter.

If Im doing multiple joints in the same spot I try to do them all at the same time. If I cant then I just try to flux the whole joint so incase the braze starts to melt on the first joint it does burn off.

Hope that helps.
