2010 Mr. Ed's Kamikaze Kustoms Mini Zero

My philosophy so far has been when it breaks, replace it with the best you can get.. Instead of the MIP's I went with RC4WD's punisher shafts.. We'll see how they work out.. I've got a lot invested in this little rig but it's been nearly indestructible.. Now if someone would come out with metal axle housings "thumbsup"

Mr. Ed,

How are those shocks working for you? Do they leak?

I love em but yes they leak but...they are 3 years old:shock: I stole a ton of parts off my Mini Monster Baja ( MLST@ ) when they were new-er they did not leak now they leak just a itty bitty bit but they are smooth. 3 racing makes a great set of replacements for the MLST2 shocks but I"M not sure what shocks I will buy next and those are on the list if and when I do get some new shocks."thumbsup"

Great build and i love both you and soundcolors rigs and advice you provide on the forum. I searched more of your 2 threads than anyone elses because the write ups and answer you both provide."thumbsup"

One question i have is what foams are you running now in your chisels. My stock losi foams are WAY soft and i hate mem foam. I just stacked the white losi foams and blue losi foams and crammed that in the front and it feels better but i wanted to get you or soundcolors foam set up since i know how much testing and beating you have given the Chisels. Thanks again

I run the chisels with axial beadlocks with 4.5oz in each front and no weight in the rear. I use Losi memory foams up front. and I run losi factory foams with the losi memory foams streched over the factory foams in the back. that is my favorite set up with the chisels. Dont be a memory foam hater they are not that bad!:)

I have a set of mem foams i just never liked how they felt on the rocks. i thew my first set in the trash. I will throw the ones i have back in and do some more running with it. Thanks again

i was twisting the stock shafts so i went with some traxxas 1/10 parts and haven't twisted or broke any since but... i have stripped the gears in the transmission as far as the integy ones they didn't last five minutes for the first set the second set lasted 1 course at a comp then using the ones that didn't break to make a third set broke on my practice course in my front yard in 10 minutes....gotta love brushless motors

Mr. Ed,

Is that the Proline Bug body you have on now. Thank you for answering my questions and again awesome rig!

No it is the factory Losi Mini Monster Baja body which they do not make any more. I like the proline bug body and may go with that but I'm still a fan of the grappler.

I know we both work pretty hard to advance the mechanical, and push the limits of what it can do. I thank ed for hus friendship,

I know we both work pretty hard to advance the mechanical, and push the limits of what it can do. I thank ed for hus friendship, and for the heavy rivalry we have, without it, we wouldn't have come up with half of the things we do.

It just seems to be a matter of us trying to make our rigs better than the others so we can ultimatly cover our horrible driving skill...

And btw, ed... mr. Night shift its gonna be late this weekend before I have your motor done... been busy.

The biggest thing you do is once you both try to beat the other and find some new set up that plain out works or new trick (ex Flat Irons you guys cut to hell) you post it for all to see and used. And not just a simple post you both give great explanations that we all can understand and use.

Now back to topic since i got us off in the weeds.;)

Yes it is the Dark Soul rims and Dark Soul Rings, they are a beautiful piece of art, I'm very happy with that purchase. BLINGY BABY:D

How do yo make those tires?
the tires are made by Panther. they are called cobras and you have to reduce them from 2.2 to 1.9 and here's how you do it...http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=205490

Thank you...

Sorry i took so long havent had a chance to reply but.......I did not fool with the throttle curves just your basic settings with the new crawler full on setting. all the brake it'll give me and no delay between reverse and gas! hope that helps

thanks alot i just wanted to compare to someone that has ran it for awhile guess ill plug mine in and check out what might need tweaked. I really have to get used to it stopping so strong and quick i did a few endos the first day out with it. Love the drag brake. I might grab a second one for the daughters scaler now. The only issue i had was i need a BEC with it. to much turning and throttle and it dies for a second. But thats with a 645 on the front.
