I know I keep on saying this but this one really is for my boy. I'm determined to build something he can have fun with and I haven't had to put too much effort into.

Specs

Axial SCX-10 shortened WB to 10 1/8"
Custom bumpers and sliders by JZ
Tekin FX-R
35t Motor
Spektrum DX3R
3s Lipo
Hand Bros CMS kit
RC4WD 1.55 Classic BL's and Mud Slinger tires.

did u fall in love with this one yet lol:lmao:

:lmao::oops: It's cool. I really like it, but I don't know if it will perform well enough in the end for me to fall in love with it.

Sooner or later it will most likely get a cage like this.

I got it far enough along for the coming weekend. I still want to figure out some fender flairs. It's a fun little rig to drive for sure.

needs a set of tlt's. the wheels stick out way too far

TLT's aren't going to happen. 1.55 wheels just stick out way too far. I'm probably going to throw on some 1.9's on so it can set in a lot further.

I might leave these though. The extra width really helps my kid because its pretty stable.

I want some Spidey Slippers!!:ror:

Oh yeah, cool Bronco too!

Gotta dig the Spidey slippers:ror:

I think I'm going to pick up some RC4WD Rough Rider wheels and Mud Thrashers for this. Does anyone know what kind of offset the Rough Riders have?

The other option is gluing the tires on it to some of these wheels. I think the diameter is wrong though

Just for reference, in case you change your mind about TLT's. here is that body over TLT's and ProLine 1.9 BL's. Flares are cut-down TR flares, they fit really well.

Another, previous width flare, in case that look grabs ya...

Looks great, I think some fenders flairs might just finish it off nicley. Have you ever considered dull-coating the grill or just painting it silver?

Thanks for the reference pics, that's the look I was going for"thumbsup" I can honestly say I'll never go back to TLT axles. Great minds think alike. I hadn't even read this until after I was done but the cut down fenders work perfectly8)

My dog woke me up at about 4:30 and I couldn't get back to sleep so at about 5 I gave up, went into the garage and started working. I grabbed some Hummer wheels I had laying around and was able to take the width from 9.25" to 8.75". The 1.55 Mud Slingers stretch easily over 1.9 wheels.

Hey mods, please move this over to 1.9 because it's not going back to 1.5.

What do you guys think? Leave the slingers or I Flash Points or Flat Irons??? I think I will pick up some HPI stock car wheels though. They will look a little better on it. Overall I'm much happier with it.

I just painted the grill and mirrors flat black. It's drying as I type.

Slingers look sweet on there Zach. "thumbsup" I wonder how they would look with all the small lugs cut out?

The flares look awesome, I was going to suggest the TR flares but I was a few hours too late. :ror: The Axial axles make it look like an EB with a full width axle swap. Perfect look IMO. "thumbsup"

TR flares? Is that Axial Trail Ready flares?

Yes, from the Trail Ready kit. They sell just the flairs too.

Thanks Griz. I think they would look sweet with the small lug cut out but this is for our street class so I'm going to leave them stock.

I'm liking it more and more. This is with painted grill and mirrors. I had these wheels laying around and I only had 3 hummer wheels. I don't love them.
