New HD worms brushed motors?

Im running a very simple Ofna crt.5 starter box motor. I have run it ever sence i got the truck and have never smoked it, I have broke 3 front worms and 1 rear. It has all the torque i ever need. In fact if i get a tire in a bad enough bind it will nap an axle before the motor gives at all. The motor has always stayed touchable even after a 15minute run. Im only running a 2200mla 2 cell , because thats all my ESC will allow, but have never had a problem out of it.

I dont know why ppl have such a problem with brushed motors. Starter box motors are cheap and tough. Besides I cant go dish out $300 for a brushless set up, and after running this set up I dont know if I would ever change to brushless. I run as long on my brushed as some of my friends do with brushless.

Easy, different driving styles. And one step further, there's those that feel the need to try to break stuff.

And then there's those that just can't drive at all.

probibly about 90% of all the crawlers on this forum use brushed motors
i dont think many pll had a problem with brushed motors only losi drivers being that our rigs needed extra power to work properly. id be more than happy to run brushed if i could. i will try the starter box motor u mentioned. sensored system are pricey. if this works well for my second rig. i will thank you for saving me some cash

I could be in trouble because i am both of those people!

Try what Robbob did to his slipper in his thread: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=183167

Harder to break stuff if the slipper is more adjustable for slip.

Right thread. "thumbsup"
