well it looks like ill be the only one making it out. im gonna go to columbia and check out the broad river area that i posted up earlier and see what it has to offer. if im not impressed ill be at the zoo...ill prolly hit up both anyway while im there. ive been wanting to run it down the trail that goes up the river bank cuz i remember a couple good spots from when i had my last rig.

if anyone has a change of plans my cell is 803 840 6124.

ryan, if you still have my number shoot me a text if you go to the zoo, i will probably be waking up about 10ish, i may try to make it out.

well things got moved up...i wont be in columbia until around 12 or so, but I AM COMING rain or shine

OH...I did go by and check out the Broad River location. It is going to be great for a comp. It has restrooms, is close to the parking lot and is pretty much all level walking on good surfaces. The rocks that I would hold the comp on are what you would typically find at a dam...big rip rap type. I didn't pull the crawler out and try it cuz we were on the way to get some grub, but I wouldn't hesitate driving to Columbia just to visit this place.

It should also be of interest to the scalers that there are several areas where there is very shallow water with gravel/pebbles that would allow great water crossings that connect the shore to several sections of rock and small islands as well.

I think we would all enjoy it. I'll always be partial to natural rock formations, but I know this is probably the most common type of location for a comp that I've seen. I took a few pics on my cell phone and I'll try to get them up soon.

excuse the crappy cell phone pictures...im ashamed

this little building has restrooms in it!

Definitely looks like a nice alternative to the zoo! Maybe We all can check it out in the weekends coming up. I know for sure I cant make it the weekend of the 9-10 and the 16th but this weekend 2-3 should be ok. I just need to know ahead of time.

i'm good for 10-2 sat. ryan, can i persuade you to help me to cut that pvc? i know you said that your neighbor had a band saw with a wood/ plastic blade. just thought i would try. never hurts to ask.

sorry but youll have to remind me what you need done...i remember talking about being stuck with using a hacksaw and dremel but not what you were trying to do

th inner rings on the oem 1.9 wheels are to short and some tires dont want to seat correctly cutting new rings out of 2 inch pvc can fix that problem.

Downloaded some free image editing software earlier. Heres a few things that I was playing with trying to figure it out. Its capable of a lot bigger things but I just dont know how to use it yet.

Kind of a comp poster type thing for The Zoo.

Its pretty fun to use but im just not all that creative.

That flyer looks good. But that SC looks to much like the Gamecocks and im a LSU fan:flipoff:. My girlfriend just recently moved to Columbia so I may be able to come down more often. I just wish she could find a better job.
