Finally time has allowed me to start this TTC rig. It has been setting on my table in my office now for a few weeks just waiting for me to start. So here we go. "thumbsup"

This will be a 2.2 scale rig .... Class 3, TTC Rig

Tube Chassis = unknown, picked it up from a guy that drivers at The Rox Box
Axles = Axial axles

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

In all honesty I would probably go with a Servo winch for this instead of the basic winch being your building a TTC truck. JMO based on some of the TTC's I have seen and been to. But nothing wrong with a little reinforcement.

I thought so also, but it is missing some of the cool details that i have seen on others Wreckluse. So i was guessing someone might have copied it.

Yeah there was a guy on ebay making them. But I dont see any of the mounting nuts on the side so I was thinking either they were removed or like you said, someone elses copy.

What happened to the purple ankle eater? Was kina hoping it would show back up.

Is there a servo that makes more sence for this? After more reseach "looking at pictures" this weekend, I would have to agree with you.

Tim (War Pig) Has been using a high end digital servo. Pricey + YES! Longevity and pull power + YES!
I might suggest maybe one of these servo's. Im waiting on mine right now as i am doing the Servo winches myself on the three rigs for next year. Might be a bit easier on the wallet. You know these simple little winches cant pull even this truck

the other option is the Savox servo's which are nice. I believe they even make a low profile that is in the same price range and torque

After laying out a few ideas.... off it went across the country

Thanks again Dave for all of your help and great work "thumbsup"

What wheels base are guys running on these TTC rigs? I was thinking of 13.5" when it is all send and done. What WB will be allowed at Nationals next year or will it be open like the 2010, just fit the rig

I dont think they figured that part out yet, Tim said the rules are coming along. I think 13.5 should be fine. thats what i am running on the my KOH Dreager buggy"thumbsup"

Dave does some damn nice work for sure,.good choice

I'm planning to use my buddies english wheel to roll out the hood and side planels for this rig. All of the panels with be made from Aluminum. I like the cool sound when it slams into things.

No problem, Grizzly4x4 has a nice tutorial on a how too.
also if you fear drifting on the servo winch. wantAsummit has been working with War Pig on his drift issues with one of his electronic contraptions which are now gone from what I heard last. yet another thing i have to buy.

We better start a broke ass fund foundation.lol

Not all servo's drift. I think it depends on how well your radio is in relation to the servo and the manufacture of the servo.

I guess Hitec's seem to drift more???
