The Eye's 2011 TTC Rig

Is there a need to run dual winches?
As for a Radio, i run a 4PK currently and could run a rear winch. Just did not know if there was a real point.

It can be helpfull I am sure, but skill is what keeps ya in the game. I personally havent seen too many people up here running 2 to be honest and Tim builds some really skilled courses too.

It's about damn time Aaron! That's a Mattzilla Customs tuber, a wreckluse knock-off. It is one of his earlier ones without the body mounting hardware on it, that is what Bill got and ran in TTC to replace the one he sold you. Lookin good though, let me know when that ankle eater can come home with me.

Will this thing ever move under it's own power? Or just sit on the table and look pretty and unfinished beside the purple ankle eater?:flipoff:

I should have my 2.2 TTC build started by the end of the week.

Wow, that rig is friggin' huge! But I love it......what's the overall width? Any idea on weight yet?

As for the wheelbase, don't worry about it in class 3.
The servo winch anti-drift device that wantAsummit designed is working great. No drift out of my Hitec 645 servo winch, but I did have an issue with the 7955 in my Bronco. Seems that the failsafe mode on the servo needs to be disabled for it to work, and I don't have any way to do that myself, so I haven't been able to try it out on that rig. I really believe that a servo winch is the only way to go on a TTC rig.....

Can't wait to see the rest of this build, there are alot of cool rigs being built right now.

Now for the best part of any rig, sorry i could not wait ..... The Wheels and tires. "thumbsup"

A huge thanks go's to Eritex Inc. www.eritexinc.com

Wow, that rig is friggin' huge! But I love it.....THanks .what's the overall width? NOT SURE BUT I'LL CHECK Any idea on weight yet? NO CLUE, BUT I WOULD HATE TO GET HIT BY IT

As for the wheelbase, don't worry about it in class 3. COOL, THANKS

The servo winch anti-drift device that wantAsummit designed is working great. No drift out of my Hitec 645 servo winch, DO YOU THINK A 645 ON 6V WOULD WORK WELL ON THIS RIG OR SHOULD I GO BIGGER

but I did have an issue with the 7955 in my Bronco. Seems that the failsafe mode on the servo needs to be disabled for it to work, and I don't have any way to do that myself, so I haven't been able to try it out on that rig. Can't wait to see the rest of this build, there are alot of cool rigs being built right now. YES THERE ARE AND I'M GLAD ... I KNOW THAT I'M GOING TO NEED HELP WITH THIS PROJECT

Thanks for all the info "thumbsup"

What drive shafts are guys using, Thanks

Axial shafts with collars

MIP

Integy

max shafts

punisher shafts

Thanks again for the insight to what will really work a TTC rig "thumbsup"

A 645 would be underpowered on this rig. I'd look around for a used 5955 and use that, they have plenty of power, and no failsafe....plus you can find them used for $50 to $70.

Go MIP drivelines, they've never let me down.

Finally, I was wondering if you were ever going to do anything with that.

Like Jon mentioned it's a Matzilla's Customs chassis like the one I used at our TTC. Mine does have a few extra braces and tabs for body panels tho.;-)

It's a stout chassis, I've never broken anything on that rig.
I used the JunFac driveshaft's which are bulletproof but the set screws dont like to bite into the hardend RRP 1 piece locker outputs.
Drilled a dimple into them and now all is well."thumbsup"

These rigs tend to be top heavy as hell so my advice would be to lose those external springs on your shocks and run full droop if you want it to be able to crawl very well. I was able to take lines on the Crawling course as well as the obstical course the other guys could not running sprung.

Going to be watching this build to see how your tank turns out.

I'll be running MIP's, if i couldn't break em in my old comp rig I'm sure they'll work for this too. I've never even heard of one breaking, I think the tranny outputs are still the weak spot even with steel ones.
