The Eye's 2011 TTC Rig

Well if i do brushless i have a Traxxas system in my slash ... that is collecting dust

Velineon 3500
VXL-3s esc

plus it is water proof ....

I think that could go well with my summit tranny and just run 3 cells

is anyone using the traxxas system?

Watch the 7t on 4 cell...it gets hot quick, and JRH told me that 35,000 rpm was max for the 7t. I have run my Bronco on 4s a few times at our last TTC, and it really ripped, but I was just waiting for it to throw a wind. 4s is about 42,000 rpm on a 7t. Just don't want you to destroy a "classic" hard to find motor .

sounds like, as a daily driver i should just go 3 cells and 4 cells on comp days maybe.... just do this brushless thing. thanks for the tech info "thumbsup"

are the 7t motors still being made ?

No, they are like gold.

The 7t puller is the best motor I've ever used, but I am going brushless this time. I know Ryan Gerrish and Dean we're both running brushless in Montana last year, and they made it through all the courses.

Well looks like my slash will be a roller by Wed. :lmao::lmao:

Very nice looking rig there Aaron "thumbsup"

Thanks

----------------------------------

Looks like i need to find some Super 300's for this truck, i dont think the stock inners are going to do real well now.

also i'm thinking that the rear steer could be cool, but i'm thinking of the wear points in the rear that might cause me problems at a big event.
plus i'm not sure where i would but it.

ch 1 steering
ch 2 thr
ch 3 summit tranny
ch 4 winch

i guess i could run a "Y" for my steering servos
or run a wireless remote for the winch servo
heck i could just dust off my DX6

this is going to be fun, no matter 8)

I tryed a different look today, I'm so happy i ordered wheel wideners... this truck needs a wider track.

Thanks RC4WD for look #2

The 2.2 Rock Stars ..... which i plan to have the rings done in black

Thanks for your support and Thanks for sponsoring the first ever TTC event at The Rox Box a couple weeks ago.

Like my 1.9 setup my 2.2 will be build with 2.2 Rox Lox tires....

I think you should add some more tube work....
JK.. looks good man! I think I like it better without the spare also.

i'm bringing my Xrten up this weekend for it's first ever run. Oh, and I got a little TTC project coming up too.. when's Indy's next TTC event?

Tim

I looked on John Holmes site and the site said the 7t motors where on sale. Is this the wrong motor ??

Evan

I'd suggest pushing that front axle forward for better approach angle. Many rigs in the 2010 Scale Nats were around 13.5" wheelbase. With the extra steering from Super 300's and overdrive front gears (or underdrive rear) the turning radius is decent.

I like the RC4WD Rock Stars with the silver rings. "thumbsup"

I think the Venileon system on 3S would be a great setup with the Summit tranny. I say give it a try and let us know how it does.

He found some leftover cans so is doing a short sale on them (details in HH vendor section). Definitely worth getting. I regretted selling mine, but managed to snag another one out of the bst forum.

Yeah it is short in these pictures. i built it to 12.5" WB like my 2.2 comp rig. .... opps ..... But it did make new links today to take it to 13.75" to fill the chassis totally 8).... now it looks even bigger

I plan to order my 300's this weekend from TCS
