Hey guys, well my dad's truck keeps getting 2 different codes and when your driving it, it feels like its going into limp mode. My dad checked the codes on his bully dog tuner. I tried to look them up but I couldn't find anything.

Well here are the codes

P000D-FF-PCM
P1000-00-PCM

Anybody know what these codes mean?

Thanks, Merry Christmas,

Tyler"thumbsup"

Remove the radiator cap, have a junkyard pick up the rest of the truck, buy a duramax truck, replace the radiator cap.
Best way to fix any ford problem right there.

LOL, just being a wiseass.....I got nothing on the trouble codes but I would say you should try googling ford trouble codes. You can most likely track them down that way. I have googled trouble codes for my truck before and found out what they meant.

Merry Christmas

thats relevant also.

Alright well my dad's gonna update his tuner and see what happens, I still can't find anything on the first code. One of those threads says that the first code is an intake problem, Mostly with the AEM intake. My dad has a Voliant one though. So I don't know yet. But thanks for trying guys"thumbsup"

I wish, LOL when its paid off its getting sold for a Duramax  But until then we have to deal with it. He likes how it looks but not performs. LOL

p1000 means the PCM's DTC (diagnostic trouble code) memory has been cleared. the truck needs to go on a drive cycle to renew any codes that might be active. the other, i dunno. only reason i know the p1000 is from the POS ford diesels i work on.

I would try taking to programmer off of it, that has been a problem with some previous fords. The trans slipping or engine running really lean should be the only reason for it to go into limp-mode. just my.02 "thumbsup"

First thing to do is take that piece of shit Bully Dog tuner off the truck. Bully Dog is a hack job of a tuner and are known to throw DTCs on Ford trucks. The Bully Dog tuner can not read all the stored DTCs either. The trans was probably slipping from the half baked tuning via the Bully Dog.

Tell your dad if he want to run a tuner on his 6.4l look at Sparten. Sparten is not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Well he's gonna get the spartan and DPF Delete but currently we don't have the money. And me starting drivers ed In January, Were saving the money for a truck for me. "thumbsup"
