Who is watching the inauguration today?

What says I'm any less capable of making an informed decision as you are? Of course I assume my informed decisions come from the left wing parents and left wings schools I go to so I must not be making a truely informed decision, right? But (I'm assuming) your right wing parents and "very very conservative city" have nothing to do with the forming of your viewpoints, correct? I've heard both sides and I've made up my mind, just the same as you. What really annoys me about this is that everyone keeps telling me "there is no exception for real world experience" and "wait till you've been out in the real world". Why hasn't anyone said the same thing to Shaun? Correct me if I'm wrong here but he is the same age as I am correct? So why aren't you accusing him of having his views formulated by conservative parents and no real "experience"? It seems to me that the only reason I'm being attacked for my age is because I disagree with you. I've lived long enough to know that life is full of disagreements between individuals that will never change. I am respectfully asking that everyone here stop telling me that I am wrong because of my age. By all means disagree and argue, it's the most effective way that I have found that I learn these things and it's why I so readily jump into these debates, but by shutting down my opinions and views as "just another dumbass brainwashed teenager" doesn't help anyone.

haha I acutually grew up in New Mexico, a historcally liberal state, I have only lived in this town for the past 7 years. My views and opinions are formed by my own thoughts and observations, I've gone againts the grain most of my life due to my conservative ideology and my age/race. but as the saying goes, if your young and conservative, you have no heart, however if your old and liberal you have no brain

I still take that bet!

It's easy of Obama to sign the order, get all of the good press, and give all the libs that tingly feelings in their pants. Then 6-8 months down the road, extend the closing date due to "unforeseen circumstances". Of course most of the lib media w/ give him a pass and blame it on President Bush.

i'll make the bet

gitmo closed before jan 21, 2010 12:00 AM

just taking one bet though.

*i honestly don't think its possible. but if it does happen being able to gloat about would be priceless.

I'm the official model of age and experience not causing me to become conservative. I grew up conservative, up until about 10th grade I was a conservative.

Then I wanted to know more. That lead to questioning all my beliefs and changing most of them based on many books I read.

I'm more liberal when it comes to civil liberties and equality.

When it comes to finances I am still a staunch Flat Tax believer. I'll save my beliefs in religion and wellfare for another more directed thread.

I think Gitmo will be "changed" and that in 2010 a Obama House of Corrections will be open for business."thumbsup"

Edit: Maybe he'll put a UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT sign on the outside instead.:lmao:

Guess you're the opposite of most.
And yeah, you're probably the only One here on RCC that's expanded their minds past the 10th grade, or questioned authority.
You are the intellectually enlightened One oh great One

Binaryterror for President 2012

We'll see how many changes Obama makes from his campaign propaganda now that he is privileged to same information that President Bush was receiving.

When you live in the real world, you have to make real decisions.

$5.00 says that Gitmo is still open in a year, any takers?

So your claiming to see the future now? Awesome. What's next months powerball numbers? I've got my pen and paper ready....

I don't know what would more fair than that.

I like the idea. It's like having no income tax here in TN or in FL - just sales tax.

You're taxed when you spend. 9.5% in TN, 7% in Florida.

Kentucky has state income tax as well as a 6% sales tax.

That blows if you work in Kentucky, it's great if you're just across the border and work in TN, though.
