HA! :mrgreen: Got my 7.50-16's from Coker last week. Still deciding on the front size....5.50's or 6.00's. Decisions, decisions... 8)

Don't know the compressed, im away for the week. But eyelet to eyelet is 4".
Maybe I'll. Just send them to you. If you like them they would be $30.00. If not Ill grab them from you at MSD's

allitle late, but yeah it was those hexes for sure. ive had the same thing happen with those old hexs. puts a MAJOR drag on the driveline when they bottom out agains the axle housing. and o yeah, nice hammers :lmao:

Yeah, even my 10t puller on 3s couldn't rotate the front axle due to the bind when I really torqued on it. Scary!

Hammers! :ror: Yeah, I wish these were modeled after an actual 1:1 tire, but at least they look decent and seem to perform well, too. ;-)

I'm looking for some wide metal hexes if anyone knows of any. I have some Slash hexes which appear to have the width I want, but I suspect the plastic may not hold up. Anyone tried them in a heavy crawler before?

Tommy....check out the hexes that come on RC4WD T-Rex 60 axles. they are pretty thick. I may have a pair laying around somewhere if ya need 'em bad enough....

Good call! I see they have several. They specify Traxxas-specific stuff. Any clue if those hexes work with Axials? I thought they were pretty universal 'til I tried those wide TLT hexes and they bound up on my axles.

I do have some Junfac wideners, but they're crazy wide and have a tendency to come loose....not good for a TTC rig! :ror:

They're probably like the Integy units, just alloy versions of the stock hexes...

Tommy,I run the STRC wide hexs on a few of my rigs with super 300's, they work fine after you drill them out to 6mm.You can always use the narrow hexs on another build or in the rear like I do on some rigs.

I have also used the plastiuc traxxas hexs,but my rigs are not as heavy as big oly

Yo holmes....the hexes are 6.5mm wide. Not as wide as I had thought. However the slot for the drive pin is not as deep, making them a little wider yet than Axials.

Ugh! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I may be adding 4WS to the truck. I feared having rear steer would be hugely beneficial and seeing Tim's rig on the rocks pretty much confirmed my suspicions. Getting everything installed isn't a big deal, but the issue is that I only have a 3 channel radio, a DX3R. And currently my third channel is for my winch.

Anyone have good suggestions on how to deal with this? I suppose I could add a toggle switch to swap between winch and rear steer, but that would suck. I already have too much damn wiring on this truck as it is! :evil: But unfortunately, a Futaba 4PK (4 ch.) radio is $400+ and I'd need to buy a bunch of their receivers for my other rigs (another $200 or so). Too pricey for my blood.

Even if I did use a toggle switch, I'm not sure how the controller would work. The winch is a simple 3 position, but I would like to have the rear steer set up for multiple steering positions. Honestly, I hope it's more hassle than it's worth and I give up on this idea! :ror:

Look for a 4pl. It will give you most of the Pk functions but alot less.

OR go buy a case of beer and drown your sorrows. Wake up hung over and realize you'll still have fun in Montana......just don't do all this with Toyo around to film or you could be more famous than you want in the 2011 MSD video.:shock:

Found my 4pk used for $350 here in the classifieds. The switch idea is tough as you still need a centering signal to the servo at all times. If you switch it you'll lose that.

You could also look for a losi2.4 to tear apart and add the transmitter and receiver to take you to 6 channels. It's hack but it's an option.
