Dual Esc Adapter-Dig, mixing, biasing, for MOST 3CH RADIOS

Got mine in the mall yesterday, thanks for the quick shipping. I do have one question with respect to the connecting to the unit (mine connectors where not labeled). I could go with the trial and error method but I thought I would as first. So are the connections as they are soldered from the end of the board going in (starting with the one closest to the end of the board) like this?

First – Front ESC
Second – Channel 2 (Throttle)
Third – Channel 3 (Proportional Control)
Fourth – Rear ESC

Thanks for picking up the production of this great product.

Ok i forgot to tell everyone who has ordered, i don't have labels, so all the servo plugs have a marking in them with a engraver tip, a F,3,2,R

F=front esc; 3=ch3; 2=ch2; R=Rear esc.

Sorry if this cause any confusion.

There should be a light engraving on the servo plugs, probably need to hold them at an angle so the light reflects off of them. I'm working on getting a label maker, but for the time being they'll be hand engraved...or color coded:ror:

But yes your order seems correct, but look for the markings "thumbsup"

Ok i finished up my custom radios...so now i'm going to start up on another batch of adapters, still waiting on servo lead though. If their not in by friday i'll hand crimp abunch of leads, or go down to the lhs and buy some so i can get those pre-orders out by Monday...

2.5 weeks and still no servo leads...its been awhile since i have had a chinese order out so long. But the good news is i think i have found a USA supplier that doesn't charge outrageous amounts on servo leads.

$0.50 each is about tops probably could do more....i'm getting them from china for about $0.20 each. Probably 50-100 at a time. I know it doesn't sound like alot, but it adds up.

Ok good news, i now have 100 servo leads so i'm set for a few batches. All pre-orders should go out monday via usps prioirty. I should have my japan delayed smd components in mid-next. Also i need a guinea pig to run through my website...will get you 25% off, pm me if your interested, i only need one person.

Oh also, i've seen some feed back about too long of servo leads, which i agree on, so all leads will be about 2 in long. If you want longer ones lmk.

I have a dx3 (not to be confused with the 3.0). It has a 3 position switch on the 3rd channel from the factory. You can set the 3rd channel to either 3 position or linear. If i understand this would work just like a servo/dig switch combo if i used the 3 position setting on my radio. If i use the linear setting on my radio I am assuming it would allow me to bias the front and rear motors/ESCs when I push the switch forward or back from its neutral position. Is this correct? And I assume the bias would increase while holding the switch until full dig is reached. Is this correct too?

yes that should work.

In simple terms your channel goes from -100% to 0% to 100%, when at 0% you have even mixing, when at +/- 100% your at full dig. Everything in between is a bias mix. So your 3 pos will act as dig, then when swapped over to lin you can get bias control, although not real useful unless it can hold a position somewhere in the -100% to 100% range

It does indeed hold its position when in linear mode. It also displays the position on the screen. One more question, linear mode has 150 steps in each direction. Would the dig threshold pot be adjustable enough to engage dig after 5-10 steps? I certainly wouldn't want to scroll through more steps than that to get to full dig.
