Rollin coal... Ghey or Cool?

Seriously? Cyclists have a right to the road, too, but notice how each cyclist was as far off on the shoulder as they could be to give motorists room. Looked to me like they were being considerate! Nothing they did deserved that douchebag blowing soot all over them while they're busting their asses climbing an obviously steep ascent. Yeah, you said the driver might've been upset (unjustifiably I might add) and that's why he did it. I don't give a shit. It's not right.

And for what it's worth, I'm a diesel driver and a cyclist. IMO, this guy was absolutely, without a doubt an asshole and I hope he one day gets what he deserves.

I myself dont think the road is appropriate for cycling.IMO all roads need safe places for pedestrians to travel, and IMO a typical shoulder doesnt qualify as a safe place. And IMO a cyclist is still a pedestrian, they was deffinatly all the way over, but it wasnt a huge shoulder and I dont know what kind of traffic they created by their presence that day, could have been a long delay created by people slowing down to pass them in a safe manner, and being a steep grade,if that was the case, its all the more harder on trucks with a load....its human nature to get pissed about stuff that frustrates you.The driver was being a total jerk, but he was still just being human. No harm done by the cyclist,or the driver IMO He simply got a good laugh at the cyclist expense, his ager brought it out of him,its very hard to stop anger from affecting our judgment, but its a huge lesson in life to do so.May have been a younger driver in the truck.

guy on pirate is wrong
Ricer=any vehicle from the land of rice. The nicest vintage bone stock 240 you can find was born a ricer and will alwats be a ricer.
basically every crotch rocket you see is a ricer, stock or not.

A 65 mustang with a park bench for a wing and a fake nos bottle is still not a ricer. Its ugly as hell but its not a ricer.
Diesels with stacks are not ricers, and some of them look pretty good, and most could pull your house down if they tried.

Super Ghey "thumbsup"

Anybody who lives here on our planet and blows smoke like that, is a freakin A-Hole and 100% Tarded

And stacks that are out of proportion to the truck or not on a big rig, look like diq sauce flowing from a mud cave 8)

Cyclists in every state/province are classified as vehicles, not pedestrians. That guy was purposely being a dickhead, only blowing out diesel exhaust when passing the cyclists. He also took the time to film it, which shows further intent, not just spur of the moment. Complete asshole and no excuse. If he can't control his anger, he shouldn't be driving at all.

To get back on track, a great photo of a diesel ricer from the pirate thread:

Notice I said IMO.......

Not a ricer, hell its got an extra fuel tank, possibly for fueling the equipment it hauls.

This here isnt a ricer either, its got no real purpose, but its not a ricer

Wow, we are pretty tame over here. :ror:

Oh yeah... RCC is full of cute little pu55ycats compared to other sites I frequent. And Pirate is very tame compared to one of my favorite sites, corner-carvers.com.

In my opinion, you're wrong. Ricer used to apply only to Japanese cars, but has morphed into a generic description of cheesy automotive style. Everyone will never agree on the definition of "ricer". Personally, I like the term "chicken fried" when describing trucks like those in the Pirate thread. But "ricer" certainly fits, too.

Yep, did notice it. Just wanted to point out your opinion was wrong ;-)

As Tommy said, while you're probably right with the origins of ricer, I think it's applied more broadly nowadays to any vehicle, domestic or import, which has useless crap welded, bolted, velcroed, etc. on to it that does nothing to add to the performance (and may decrease performance), but in the owners opinion looks cool.

I've never heard the term chicken friend though :ror:

Have you ever pulled something up (or even down) a steep narrow pass?

Here's a picture, what would you do if you came up to something like this with a goose neck behind you that weighs 10 tons in a 1 ton truck?

(this isn't my picture, but i believe its red mountain pass, which can have up to like a 9% grade)

I would follow them and pass when I can, but I suspect the cyclists would pull over to let me by for the most part (like they did in the video). But even if they didn't, I would recognize their RIGHT to the roadway and I wouldn't be an immature dick and spray soot on them. I assume you would act differently? Are you justifying the guy's behavior?

With a 10 ton trailer behind me, i'd probably never even got started on the climb, too hard on the truck to be nice to the cyclists, but on that pass with a 10 ton trailer behind, theres no way i'd try to pass them as it put me into the other lane into on coming trafic, But if there's no trailer behind, well...i'll be running extra rich while i pass em. (but i don't drive a diesel, my little 22re suits me just fine:ror:)

Its actually mostly a 3 lane rode on all the steep stuff so during the winter when your going up the faster and pass the slower, but when its nice out that thrid lane is dominated by cycles, and when its only two lane like seen in the pic, well they use the one lane, afraid to ride 1ft away from a drop that kill them.

Tell me, why ride up such a steep road when you know theres heavy haulers going up and down constantly, do you purposely want to he hard on their trucks, because unlike your heart, engines don't like to be worked hard, it don't make them stronger, just weaker and cost more money to maintain, so if you want to hard on the truck, why can't the truck be hard on your lungs?
