My DLUX Hall Style Berg

So i got a package in the mail last Thursday with all kinds of goodies in it from Erik D Lux. Which means time for a tear down and rebuild. So here is what i got. My first build thread. Thanks Erik for great parts and even better customer service. Keep up the good work.

So here is what im running

Chassis:
Hall Style chassis made from .125 lexan

Front axle
DLUX tubes fully adjustable/no grinding needed for 86 jeep steering
DLUX knuckle weights
DLUX gear case cover
DLUX servo mount used for 86 jeep steering mod
DLUX top hat bushings for knuckles
Axial C's
VP knuckles
VP SLW V4 .7 wheels with Sedonas
super 300 inner axles
Hitec 7950 servo
Traxxas Big Bore shocks turned down to .42in
Losi mini T springs
Garage made links
Tekin 45t hand wound

In the rear
DLUX delrin tubes fully adjustable with lockouts
DLUX knuckle weights
DLUX gear case cover
DLUX upper 4 link mount
Ckrc 6mil inner axles
Traxxas Big Bore shocks turned down to .42in
Losi mini T springs
Garage made links
VP SLW V4 .7 wheels with sedonas
Tekin 45t hand wound

Electronics in the chassis

All electronics ran with 18g slot car wire

I like that chassis a lot!

Its really cool to see these on somebody elses rig and see what small tweaks have been done. I am looking forward to you guys figuring all the adjustabilty out so I can copy.

reasoning behind the aluminum fromt long, versus delrin ?
you have a delrin long in the rear, just wondering the reason for the change up on front.
figure it might be for the servo mounting, but also thought that with the servo mount and servo bolting up it would secure the flex enough to be good ! just wondering

The aluminium tube is turned down really far so that no clearancing is needed for 86 style steering. Just bolt the servo mount on and run it. I tried delrin but there is no chance it will hold up.

Even with a super tiny front aluminum housing it still weighs .4oz more than my bigger diameter rear delrin tube. Thats the reasoning for delrin on the rest. Delrin is close to 1/2 the weight.

You might be able to stiffen it up with the servo mount. You would have to figure out a different/crazy type mount though. No way would the screws hold in that.

Im not sure what the actual degree is. With the adjustability of the D lux tubes any degree you want is possible.

How are you liking them? I am finding just a touch of weight back there makes a world of difference.

Hey Erik im liking everything about my new set up. You are right just a little weight back there helps on the down hill routes.
