I will...in due time. But right now i'm working with someone else with graphics. So i don't want to start using two different designers...and i'm just trying to learn how to use Photoshop on stuff besides images for a newspaper or year book.

Then please, explain how he should find and contact the original designer of that logo. Oh, BTW, the NRC gives out that radioactive materials logo like it's candy on Halloween....

The hotwheels logo work is for sale dummy, anyone who has access to a graphics site is allowed to purchase the line work. Jeesh.

really, maybe you should also talk to hotwheels and ask if they allow freedom of press to their art, the answer is yes. But since you feel that you need to argue it. here is the free art here in EPS form linked from the hotwheels website

Just because it's on that site doesn't mean its free for reproduction. You think hot wheels put their logo up there so every yahoo with illustrator can butcher their brand guidelines and make money off their image? That website has many vector logos that random people have created and shared. Think those companies put those up there too?

Just because you cant find the owner doesnt mean it's free game. My point is that if you start off grabbing images off google when your beginning in design its a hard habit to break. The is nothing wrong with using those images as references for your own artwork but blatant copying or reproduction is generally frowned upon.


This thread has taken a major right turn. I have the programs necessary to make something for you losikid. Just because I'm starting to feel like we have shit all over this thread I'm willing to put a bit of time into making something for you if you wanted. Just to show you want you can do with your idea and a bit of original work.

I have hundreds of return customers that realize that, I give constantly to this forum, my drivers, and my friends without asking for anything in return and give back as much as possible supporting events and shows. You can label me an asshole all you want because i dont share your views, but you dont know evertything.

Yes, Hotwheels is a trademarked logo. But you are not realizing that Hotwheels also sells the rights of their logo to companies to use. I can purchase the hotwheels logo from 3 companies right now that provide Graphics who have been in business for over 5+ years. Otherwise oh mighty wise one, they would go law suit happy like Hansen's does when someone uses their logo for profit.

if its available for purchase as long as you follow the conditions of its use was he wrong?

As I read the thread, there was the debate of legality, T36 posted that it is available to purchase, you said no, exchange were made you weren't correct. simple. too me you were accusing him of promoting plagiarizim and trademark infringement, he posted up that the logo is available to purchase. I don't see where your argument stands. and since i'm not one for getting into online arguments i'll leave it there
