Futaba 4PL Setup, Tips, Tricks & Help

Can I adjust when the trigger activates? forward operation feels fine, I like how much free play it has before it starts moving. Reverse on the other hand, barely touch the trigger and it moves quickly. Can I adjust it so there is more free play before it activates reverse?

Sent from my uber smart, smart phone....

You can add a lot of exponential to the reverse curve. That is your best bet.

i tried this. it didnt seem to help much. so i adjusted my EPA-B down to 50 and seems to work a lot better. is this a good idea? is there negative effects to this? thanks...

Got a question.

Am I running my winch control right? I had to tweak the crap out of it to get it to stop turning on its own, and go forward/reverse the way I wanted it. I would think there's an easier way, but maybe not...

So I have it on chan 3

Posi: U 30
Subtr: 0
EPA-U: 104
EPA-D: 100

F/S: Hold

Is this the right way? just find those set points and go, or is there some easier way I missed? It is a servo controlled spool winch

Thanks!

I will be a butthead and say, "Get a heyok" winch controller and be done with it.

You need a winch controller. You are just getting drift it sounds like.

Who makes that aftermarket steering wheel that's shown on the above 4PK? Pretty sick looking! It looks a little bigger than the stock wheel too.

Set up 4pl today,my question is the steering servo, slightly crack the throttle steering is fine, even more throttle steering seems to have delay, and at full throttle steering is back to normal. confused on what it could be!

Does the steering work OK if you have no throttle?
What servo?
Are you running an external BEC?
If not, what ESC are you running?

Not likely a radio issue, if it's a strong servo it may be a power problem to it.

The steering works fine with no throttle, and my servo is a spectrum s6100,and iam running a castle bec that is bypassing the esc,and the esc is a fxr. It worked fine when i was using my dx3e no problems, all i did was change radio and receiver.

Charlie,
See this thread of mine where you also replied.
The earth's(black) should become a common wire.
This solved my problems.

I just installed new reciver R2004GF in my r1 same wire set up as my swx "the problem rig" the only diffrence in r1 is the servo, hitec 7950,and no problem with glitching. I will try the common ground to the reciver and see if that will work,or change servos.
