is there a reason the motor is to the short side? seems like it might cause an issue with motor and link interference
Its all just theory and a lot can/will change when I start putting parts on but my reasons right now are:
Getting the motor closest to the tire for better clearance to the ground, think offset diff.
The servo fits on the short side and thats it. To do a servo link mount combo is not what I want to do right now, I would rather have them separate.
I dont want the long side on the motor side because I want to run my servo behind the axle like 86Jeep style. The long side is so long that it will be pushing the Delrin tubes that much more durability wise and I really dont feel comfortable notching the tube, as I would have to do if it were on the motor side. Additionally, I would like to run my motor as far tucked in towards the axle for more clearance and dont want to deal with moving it to fit a servo.
I did mill the face of the motor mount. That will give me an extra .125 clearance but the short side is still close to .5 shorter than a long side Berg. Edit: I did just check a stock tube. Looks like they have the shock mount roughly .5 in from the C. It will be close but I think I will be ok?
I was going to drill the tubes so they can be placed on either side of the gear box. I still may but I figured I will try this first and see how it works out.
I was wondering about that too...otherwise this is gonna be a sweet build 8)
Just think how much advertisement you could get with a set of clear faced 4" wheels with Krawler Konceptz inside skinz "thumbsup"
Pretty excited for the wheels. "thumbsup"
Nice build Erik. Now if I can just get you to make tubes for the 65:1 bullies
I will put it on the list :lmao:
Very cool! What c's are those? You've got me thinking "thumbsup"
Yep, AX10 stuff. Read a couple posts back and I explain how they work/fit.
Nah, just curious to see what you have in mind for a wheel this size.
Thats my guilty conscious

:ror:
I am just going to keep it the same size as the HPI wheels that everybody uses. I dont know enough about supers do come up with my own ideas on stuff like that yet. Driving 53's car it seemed like his wheel/tire combo worked really well. It will be a good starting point for me.
