Looking for a good set of hex drivers

I have the complete EDS tool set, all 26pc. absolutely NO complaints. mind you it was very very steep in price. but you know what? ya pay for what you get! o and I have a complete set of MIPs for tool box I take out to comps.

I have been searching hex tool threads for a cou ple of weeks to see what people are saying. After all the mixed reviews of hudy, mip, eds, losi, associated, dynomite and duratrax I decided to pick up a few hudy drivers to see what the fuss was all about. I have been using duratrax hardened drivers for a while and the lathers ones are ok but eventually round off. The smaller ones will round off after mounting one set of beadlocks. After recieving the hudy's I decided to mount up some new tires and all I can say is you dont know what a good tip is until you try one. I can't describe how much tighter and secure they are in the screws, the precision is unmatched as far as the other drivers I have used. I suggest saving your pennies and buying a few of the ones you use the most. They are definitely worth it.

i just ordered a set of EDS so we will see how they got. i ordered a set of hex drivers and ball drivers plus carry case

I have this Dynomite set in both metric and inch. I bought the inch set when I got my LCC, and liked them so much I bought the metric set. I have been using them for a couple of years. The quality is very good, they have hollow aluminum handles (makes them light), replaceable tips (never had to yet), a plastic end on the handle that spins freely of the handle, and a flat on the handle so they don't roll off the workbench. The plastic piece on the handles are color coded for easy identification, blue for metric, orange for inch. They are generally priced a little cheaper than other quality drivers. I highly recommend them.

I have both sets of these also and plan to add the nut driver sets. Very nice for the price. Seemed like I was breaking integy tips every week or two and I haven't hurt one of these yet.

I bought those turnigy ones cause they were on sale and I was ordering a few batteries. They lasted one use. I'll just say you get what you pay for.

hmm, maybe im lucky.. So far mine are doing good...But, good thing to know.. Ill still continue to save for a Hudy

I have the dynamite starter set with the ratcheting handle and carrying case. Haven't had any problems.

I have the Team Associated set that I picked up several years ago and have never had any problems at all. I'd buy them again.

Dynamite here. Just a set of 5 drivers with 1.5mm to 4mm, each a half a millimeter step up from the other to 3, then a 4mm.

About 10 bucks and haven't rounded/broken any of them yet.

ive put together a set of mip hex drivers i learned about on the forum, they are rock solid, the tips are so well made it doesnt care if a screw head is stripped still grabs hold. only draw back ive seen is they sometimes hold too good and are tough to get out of the screw head. they are $10 a piece on amazon but its probly the best rc purchase ive made. plus they will re-machine the tips if u somehow find a way to break one.

I bought the cheap bondhus brand from McMaster Carr and don't like them at all. They are ball end, but when they made the ball they cut the hex too much. All they do is strip the screw. I ended up cutting the ball off the 1.5 and 2.0 mm and they are much better now. The other issue is the handles are all different sizes. Next time I'll buy nicer ones.
