About a year ago I discovered southern buggies and after watching countless videos I fell in love with Jordan Tanner's screamin II. So after seeing the builds on the forum I dove in head first and did research and watched videos on brazing and gave it a shot.

I didn't take many progress photos but I have some of the chassis when it was almost completed. I started with a brand new RTR wraith and after only about fifteen minutes of playing with it right out of the box I began stripping it down to mock up the chassis.

You did an outstanding job on that chassis. "thumbsup" Southern buggy chassis's are very hard to pull off in the scale realm let alone in the full size application. If this is truely your first attempt......you sir have a natural talent, and I look forward to all your future builds that you share with us"thumbsup"

Nice work 8)8)

Thanks, I have been into RC for about 13 years but this was honesty my first time brazing or making a chassis. I do have another 1.9 Jeep jk I might post but I don't have any build progress pics.

That's kick ass. I wheel a lot of the same spots down here as the tanners and tim. You did a great job of replicating that buggy!

Where did you get the beadlock rings? Awsom build Im workin on 90PROOF as we speak

The rings are from mthead on the forum he has a vender spot on here too its fubar. The rings come in black derlin, I just roughed them up with sandpaper and used rustolem primer and chrome spray paint.

Thanks, its a little off in the front, back and the roof line is to low but I am happy with it. I am from northern Ohio and was wanting to go down to wheeling in the country trails in summer town Tennessee for memorial day weekend and try to get pics with the 1:1 but its a 10 hour drive for me and I can't find anyone that wants to drive that far with me. Not to mention I just want to see these buggies in person.

Got some new pic's riding at Mill Hallow a Lorain County Metro Park in Ohio. The pic's were still shot, I unfortunately didn't have anyone there to take action shots or video. It was an awesome day and climbs hills like a champ too, and the hill was steeper than it looks too.

That last shot! Killing me! You're giving me motivation! Shop time tomorrow! Ready to bend and burn."thumbsup"

I got the hard parts done today! Seriously, that front end was a major undertaking! Those compound curves on a tube you can't afford to screw up are tough. Not to mention trying to get 5 tubes to come together at one point. Out of all the southern buggies I had to fall in love with, I pick this one.:evil::evil:

I'll post pics when I get more done on the chassis. By the way, I used a lot of your pics (along with some ricky b ones I had) for reference. They really helped."thumbsup"

Great, hopefully you get the front more accurate than I did. I referenced some pic's on my build from warriorism and another build on here too. Be sure to let me know when you post up, I'm eager to see how yours turns out. Good luck on the build.
