Mars Rover touchdown August 8, 2012

There is a lot of information we can gain just from making these sort of trips, whether technology or just historical. I am almost willing to bet we will find rudimentary life forms on mars if we dig deep enough. There is water and complex chemicals. Some sorts of prokaryotes could easily survive.

NASA has a stop motion movie of the landing up, about 270 photos.

One thing that gives scienists hope of finding current life on Mars is the fluctuation of methane amounts. Something is farting a lot to make that much of an increase.:ror:

im betting a lot of it (aid distribution) has to do with america bombing the **** out of them.. so a better option would be to not bomb the **** out of things..

Or carpet bomb until there is no one left to aid."thumbsup"

Send it on over. "thumbsup"

Seriously. My position is very specialized....my boss's, not so much. That is the reason for the pay difference. And yes, the owners make higher than I do.

Yes, I was meaning the one's who pay me, not supervisors, formans, ect.
Actually, I have had the fortun to only answer to the owner of my 2 longest employers ( 22 yrs combined ).

Shame on you. You aren't supposed to debate things that you can back up with facts.

Oh, hey, look at that. According to that chart, RR raised the national debt 189%.

Yes it is. "thumbsup"

Yea, but Reagan won a war without losing any american lifes ( russia )
He biult our military, and it cost, but would a full on war not have cost more? So you could say that reagan actually saved lives, and $$$ with his spending.

I cant say that for Obama's spending

Reagan also did alot to influence/promote freedome, and our intersts the world over.

Again, I cant say the same for our current president.

But thats just how it looks from my side of the circle.

I like that solution as well. Cut off all assistance to the UN and their activities as well as any aid handed out to any other countries. That should save us quite a bit of cash.

I can hear the crying now...

Well of course that is the case. Why would any company owner, for any lengthy period of time, pay his employees anything more than he/she or the company was earning in profit? That makes no sense...

Its the goverment interaction, regulation on home loans that created the circumstances, and lending requirments that lead us to the housing bubble.
Don't forget the stupid consumers who feel it is their god given right to own a home and that it's normal for a home mortgage loan to require payments that are less than they were paying in rent at their previous place.

Holy chit...I was wonderin, "How the hell is a thread about the Mars Rover 6 friggin pages long???" Now I see...

C'mon guys...how can it be a waste of money? Mars has that pyramid thingy underground & when you stick yer hand in that one dealy, those big piston whoozits go into the Martian permafrost & VOILA....ATMOSPHERE. YAAAAAAY.

I saw a documentary all about it with some big ass muscley dude runnin around. There's also chicks with 4 boobs up there so again I say YAAAAY.

BTW, my cousin (who is an Avionics Engineer) just took a new position for Boeing because they just got a contract from NASA for new projects involving Human spaceflight. This is good news as human flight recently took a big hit from the Obama administration.

Here is a link to the article he sent me:

(notice the names of the other companies who got the contracts......interesting)

Sierra Nevada Corp., as in- the beer guys? Hell yeah, I can hear the radio conversation now:

space crew- " Houston, we have an issue"

Houston- "what's the issue?"

space crew- "NASA forgot to pack a bottle opener in the capsule"
