Just thought I would share

Ugh JSO. those guys are the worst. No offense to your brother. JSO is one of the most corrupt dept in fla. it depends what range you go to. I'm pretty sure JSO has their own range for police and their guest only, that one is pretty far from the city. The one I go to is called gateway and is open to the public. It's still pretty far from the city but not nearly as fat as the JSO range

Yeah, I get to hear about the corruptness of the Sheriff and the mayor whom constantly limit the power of the officers but blame them for the violent crime that gets out of hand. I was floored when my Bro told me about how they laid off something like 60 officers earlier this year. Most of his colleagues that I meet are good folks, they all seem to have too much time invested to quit and walk away from their jobs.

I'm sure most are good people. They just like to abuse their power and do things they aren't supposed to. I heard about them getting laid off my mom works for Atlantic beach which is a really small dept so she didn't need to worry about that.

For the guys that own mosins and want to make it more accurate, what I did to correct how low it shoots at 100 yards I put some shrink tube around the front sight to raise it up a little. When I went it still shot low but it's not thing I take off the old shrink tube and put a bigger piece on. To be honest I think I was using the 50 yard range and not the 100. When I walked down to change out targets it didn't feel anywhere near 100 yards.

If you guys need any info on mosins I highly recommend becoming a member on this forum. The people are really helpful and will answer any questions
You may have.

It's not two stories. I was wonderin the same thing when I got there. I guess they just wanted to make sure their roof would last a long time.

No but up above like 25 feet in front of the firing line there are big boards up above unless I am seeing things. WTF are those? block the sunlight or something? Sure look like you could put targets up there to me and shoot them off the roof.

Oh I gotcha. Umm. I was wondering the same thing. Your guess is as good as mine. Probly to block the sun. Maybe. I dunno. They are to close and to high to be for targets. Maybe to block ricochets. I have no idea. I'll have to ask next time I go.

Is that range double decker or something? Whats up with the plywood up above downrange?

Maybe to help with sun glare? Or to keep people from aiming to high and overshooting the backstop? Not that the plywood would stop many types of rounds. The range for the club I belong to has 15 booths in a similar setup to the OP's vids. 3 are dedicated 200 yards, 3 are 200/100 yard, 3 are 100 yard, 3 are 100/50 yard and the last 3 are dedicated 50 yard. They go from left to right with 200 on the left, 100 in the middle and 50 on the right. It is cool cause you can set targets at two distances and set up in a booth to shoot both. Best thing is it is $75 a year with unlimited access. Also has a pistol house with 50 yard backstop with target holders set at misc ranges and some you can place yourself where you want. Bad thing is it is Maine and it is cold most of the year. Not enclosed, just covered. I actually let my membership lapse this year and haven't been shooting. These vids make me want to go again. It's the perfect time of year for it in this part of the country.

That sounds alot like the one I go to. I could pay, I think $112 for annual membership but for now I just pay the daily fee. The one I go has multiple ranges. They have 2 pistol ranges, rifle ranges from 25-100 yards as well as skeet shooting for shotguns only. Annual members also have acces to the 75 yard ranges in the back for full auto weapons.
