Scale Run up a New Trail (Sat the 6th)

For all of the mountain bikers out there, you might recognize the terrain as it crosses in an out of Haws

Brett and I walked this trail about 10 years ago when we were considering making it a 1:1 trail... Well, years of rain has changed the trail and now it would make a perfect trail run for the little guys (at least our kind of scale Run)

After hiking it this morning, I am planning on doing it Saturday morning The 6th

If you would like to join, plan on meeting at Walgreens (Power and Thomas) at 7AM (it's only 5 minutes from there)

The good news, even at 9am.. The trail was in the shade the whole way

Plan on hiking a good 3-4 miles or so... (in and out)

I hope I and my rig are mended by then. The Mrs usually gets Sat and I get Sun, but we'll see. It looks like a good area though, if I can't go that day I'd like to check it out another day.

Got back to work yesterday and found I have to work Saturday so I'll have to catch you all next time.

That new spot is mega sweet. We found out to get to the really good stuff, you have to hike down a bike trail and then cut over to the wash about 1/4 mile in. Lines everywhere, like charlies chocolate factory for scalers"thumbsup". Heres what pics I was able to snap out on the trail. PS, not alot of parking, so meeting at that walgreens at thomas and power and carpooling over is a good idea.

That looks like a great spot. Does anyone have a map to it? Is it at the Hawes trail system entrance east of the hwy before Granite reef dam rd?
Thinking about checking it out tomorrow.
