Heavy Non turning cruiser??????!?!?!? Harley's Touring bikes are some of the most maneuverable of all bikes. There is a reason why cops use them.
My Road King can out handle any of the other bikes I've ever ridden including sport bikes in the twisties. Now at extreme speeds its a different story. But on the Dragon, most people aren't doing much more than 45-50 at any given time.

That guy just plain f'ed up. Sport bike or cruiser makes no difference.
Draggin floorboards on my king was fun as hell.

Granted the bike in the photos was not a Harley, but don't take handling capabilities away from touring bikes. They would surprise you if you've ever ridden one.

Brave Sierra.

Until you've learned to ride a Bagger to its limits, don't call BS. They are more than capable of avoidance maneuvers.
Wasn't knocking any other type of bike. Just reponding to the uneducated opinion of touring bikes. Wasn't prepared for somebody to take that out of context.

A bagger at its limits is far below what a great sport bike will do. But this sequence was of a guy who just f'd up. Broke the first rule of anything with 2 wheels. Look where you want to go, because you are going where you look.

Very true and totally agree. A sport bike is designed to handle and in the right hands is far superior to a Bagger.
With my riding experience being mostly on a cruiser and not a sport bike, I myself feel much safer on a Harley rather than a sport bike. I just don't have much experience on them.
I was more or less defending Touring bikes and their abilities.
As I clearly stated in my above post also, it didn't matter what he was riding, he plain f'ed up.

Huh?

Guess I could have worded that differently. Didn't mean for it to come out that way. Just saying I trust myself on my Bagger more than on a sport bike. Not necessarily that a Harley can out handle any other bike out there.
We've already established and agreed that a sport bike can out handle a Bagger.
No need to drag that out.

The statement that you had quoted and deleted content is what I was referring to as taken out context.

Relax, I'm just F'n with you... :ror:

I got a joke for ya.

Q: Whats the difference between a Harley and a Hoover?

A: You can only fit one dirt-bag on a hoover!

:lmao:

Lol! No offense taken my friend. "thumbsup"

Q: Did you hear about the harley rider that broke his arm while playing golf?

A: He fell off the ball washer!

You do not see to many videos of guys on Harleys going 180 weaving through traffic. Sport bikes tend to drop 60-80 IQ points from the rider when it comes to what is appropriate. Harley's add 60-80 inner coolness points. People might not see it from the outside, but it sure makes you feel better on the inside.

I have had them all, and my all time favorite 2 wheel bike was a moped.

I had one of these with a 150cc kit on it. It was not a pure 300 pound fat chick you did not want anyone to see you on, but more like 175 pounder with huge boobs that lets you put it anywhere. Yeah it was that fun.

I had a few sport bikes in my younger years, but the funnest thing I rode was a borrowed Honda elite scooter. I had such a blast on it, even if it was the 300 pound fat chick.

That's actually kind of cool looking.

So is the 500.
