This sucks the sirens just went off and the first wave is expected to hit at 10:20pm Hawaii time.

it was an earthquake of the coast of b.c. about a 7.7

Yea it's all over the news, right now everyone in Hawaii is freaking out and all our gas stations are full.

It looks like it has been downgraded to a warning. They are saying that there are 4 bigger waves that are 4' or smaller. Stay safe over there...

BTW, vonclod, how's the situation in Canada? No effects being seen up there?

too far away for me to feel anything although some people in the interior said they felt it which is surprising..fortunatly there was no real damage on either side of the pacific"thumbsup"

lots of aftershocks mostly 4.5-5 but one was 6.3
