Daniel, you will be missed. A true driving talent, but you did not fail. Every G6'er knows that you can't finish every stage, so you deal with the adversity and do everything you can.

It sounds like you did. There's nothing wrong with doing walk of shame.

Rest assured, my friend, we will be G6'n and you know it! "thumbsup"

I have a question for Parker or anyone else with the say so or WGAF...you gonna' add a rule stating something like 3 failed attempts at a challenge or obstacle and you let the next guy in line go? I heard of the bottlenecking and a bunch of butt hurt drivers who had an issue letting people by, and the guys who were waiting in line for that "fahkeen Jeepney with the 101 scale pieces of crap straight from Manila" so top heavy it held up father time himself.

With the money put out just to enter, I don't want to stand around all day scratching my nuts more than driving...I want a fair shot at finishing the course. I heard some guys only cleared 40 gates cuz' of this crap?

Thanks for any info on this issue, and BTW just sayin!

Cheatin,

Dude, your awesome! Great concerns and I dig the suggestion. A rule doesn't need to be added, we G6'n, not compin'. I come from a 1:1 background and the 3 attempts at an obstacle and get your jeep outta my 'yota's way so I can show you the line, is trail etiquette. Period.

This has been taught to me years ago by grey hairs that cut the trails we were driving. The same trail etiquitte is passed on by veteran G6'ers to new G6'ers and will continue to be passed on without the need for another rule. I will add this to the 2013 RECON G6 Guidelines, as not all G6'ers have experienced 1:1 wheeling.

The Axial RECON Ultra 4 G6 has a non-bottle necking stage design. "thumbsup" Laid out and GPS'd by me, Parker, for every G6'er to drive. If you can scratch your nutz and drive at the same time, this may help you finish a RECON G6 Stage. Because finishing a RECON G6, is like winning a RECON G6.

I look forward to seeing you at the Axial RECON Ultra 4 G6. If you are going to be down there earlier than Saturday, come by and say "Hi". I'll be at the Axial R/C booth.

Right on Parker, you da' man! That's how we roll when we GTG, hit it trice, move aside and let the man go through! I'll be there Saturday and will for sure give you some lovin!

You guys are whiners:lmao: Theres nothing wrong with waiting 2 hr's for someone on the trail to walk back down the trail asking for a fuse  thats what some dum ass did on a run that we were on, all single file in a canyon and he was twisted up on a water fall and broke. You want to talk about PISSED, just as my wife. Even she knows sometimes check the fuse's. And were only dealing with toy cars :lmao:

DMFer,

So, just to be sure, you hit it twice and pull out the tow strap or winch line on the third attempt. Is this the proper trail etiquette?

<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
That could be one example, sure and I have done just that, but here are several options that I have done before; solo or with my Axial Do <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">Overland</st1:City></st1:place>, Go Adventure teammate, ThomK.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
-If I cannot drive an obstacle after 3 attempts, I pull winch line and using the Pull Pal RW60 as a winch point, I winch. This is not very often, since I drive the Official Tires of the RECON G6; Pit Bull Tires. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
-A winch in not mandatory, but highly recommended. So times that I do not have a winch, then I would use my mandatory tow strap and then mark a "penalty winch" in the appropriate spot in the drivers log book.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
- We have strapped a rig behind the one that is winching to traverse obstacles and in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Hawaii</st1:place></st1:State>, strapped several rigs together in a chain like fashion to tackle a tire obstacle.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
- I also suggest potential lines to other drivers that may be more capable for their set up. I don’t expect too many jeepers to follow the lines that I drive in my <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Toyota</st1:place></st1:City>, but we still end up at the same campfire at the end of the day.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
I am a purist when it comes to keeping the stage scale. I want to drive. I want to get lost in the adventure. I enjoy setting stages that challenge all skill levels of drivers and every type of scale G-Ride that you desire to drive. Whether you pilot a 6x6x6 or you just started driving with an out of the box Axial scx10 JK Rubicon, it is my goal for you to have fun.<o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
I hope this helps and I look forward to seeing some great stage driving at the Axial RECON Ultra 4 G6 and King of the Hammers! "thumbsup"<o:p></o:p>

I'm going to bring a few trucks and all my gear, but I'm not going to commit to anything yet. I'd love to run a G6 so I'll be pushing for it, you just never know how the day before will go. If it all works out I'll show up at tech and you all can tell me what class my junk fits in.
