Jutt's JK Rubi RTR

There are options, but I'd probably just run it right off your battery pack.

I see you have a 6-cell NiMH pack, and the specs say it can operate on 7-cell, so you won't quite see it's full potential. Another option is to get a CC BEC and run both the winch and your steering servo off of it. This option would be best if you were running 2 or 3s Lipo and a high voltage steering servo with the BEC set to 7.4V. Finally, you can get a small 2s Lipo if you'd like to give the winch it's own dedicated power supply. That's probably only a viable option if you already have a Lipo-compatible charger.

What I wouldn't do is run it off of the ESC as to not overload its internal BEC.

Ya I run that 6-cell on those long trail rides. Seems to last forever. I do also run Lipos most of the time and have had a castle bec in my wraith to power the rest of the truck. This is my first time with a winch so did know if it needed that much power.

Thanks for the info

The "wired" RC4wd winches don't give you a plug option for the controller, but the wireless one does.

So I had a little time today to work on the Jeep. Was able to get the RC4WD Bulldog on the bumper and got the Castle Creations 4-pole 1406 in the truck.

Started to run out of room for all my future electronics so I added a RC4WD gas tank radio box.

Today I was able to get all the wiring finished. Still have to swap out all my connectors to deans but here is an idea where I'm going.

Yes I will be able to run 2 batteries either at the same time or change the placement of a single one in the front or back of the rig.

So its been a while since I updated the Jeep. Ended up taking out the SV3 system and put it in my slash for bashing. The system works great, just not for crawling. Will be taking her out this week so I'll try to get some updated pics

Spent about 7hrs out on the trails yesterday with the JK. What a blast. Working with the stock system now so wheel speed was a slight issue. Might have to switch back to brushless once again. But over all a great day.

Quick pick
