The RCC Hobby Machinists Challenge

Thanks guys! I'm glad we had a month to make something cause those universal joints were a pain in the as to make. I'll post up some more pics tonight when I get home.

Pictures were taken all through out the many pieces it took me to get this right.
 
damn man that is nice. any thoughts to heat treating that center square piece to make sure it doesnt wear out? or the entire things?

what was this milled from? p20 or something like that?

If I ever make another set I'll probably get them heat treated..... I'm not sure what the material is. I made them from material that was in the cold rolled steel cut off bin.
 
Man why did I miss this thread? Are there any plans of doing another thread DOOD? I like the challenge 2 the best. I actually have something I have wanted to build for fun, and this looks like it would motivate me.
 
I'm sure there will be another. I can't guarantee that it'll have a prize, but this isn't the end of the HMC. "thumbsup"
