I saw this stuff a few years ago when they introduced it. Now apparently you can buy it at Home Depot for $20. I'm considering trying it on my MMP. My RX and ESC are done with liquid electrical tape, but that's messy and I can't get it into all of the nooks and crannies.

I'm guessing because Rustoleum doesn't want to do the testing or be responsible for any failures on electronics.

Well, I think I'll get some while I'm at Home Depot next time. The only problem is I have MMP which has the layers of boards and it really needs to be covered up more. I wonder if you could spray it on "thicker" so it runs under stuff like the heatsink.

I'm doing this as we speak to my MMP. I already did it to my receiver to make sure it would work and it did work. I know what you mean about the layers under the heatsink. I'm just trying to spray it so it gets under there. I'm not dipping them in the water to confirm it worked...but the electronics are still working after the process.

I wonder if you could spray it into a small cup and dip the ESC into that? Like how people used to do corrosionX before the pump bottles came out.

Please report back on how it worked ka1fornia. I'd like to be able to use this stuff on my rigs but with the intention of occasionally getting my trucks wet and not submerging them. Puddles yes, ponds no!

Hey man I'm the same way as you, puddles but no ponds. I just want it for the insurance. I've coated my MMP and reciever and they are still working good as new. But like I said, I'm not dipping them in water to confirm it has worked....I can definitely see the coat on it though like it shows on youtube so I trust it will work.

All my electronics are already coated in liquid electrical tape - some brush-on, others spray on. I think I may coat the liquid electrical tape with the NeverWet. Fun to toy with even if not needed.

I tend to do things the way that I learned works 100%. Not to say I am a close minded person, but I'm a strong believer in the "Why Fix it if it Ain't Broke" theory.

Waterproofing electronics at first is pretty daunting for anyone. Back then taking apart back an OG $90 Sidewinder just so I could go mudding and not have to worry about overheating lol. Now it's like a walk in the park for me to waterproof ESC's or servos.

I've tried CorrosionX before on another OG Sidewinder and at best it's a water REPELLENT definitely not going to submerge an ESC coated with CorrosionX unless I recently just applied it. I just don't like it because it leaves everything so slimy and you have to spray it every time you go for a wet run.

I've tried LiquidTape as well for ESC's and servos but LiquidTape is just not as durable as Plastidip and over time plus the heat coming off the ESC's and servos will eventually cause Liquid Tape to flake off. Well at least in my cases. I used it on an SV2 ESC and also a Hitec 7950TH servo.

Now I just don't go blasting through puddles or mud unless I know 100% it's PlastiDipped.
