I got my MMP all waterproofed (I think) so I should be able to go thru some water with Little Debbie now (I hope) still gotta waterproof the Pro4 and my reciever and I'm good to go! (I pray).

Me too! I'm really looking forward to this gtg... it's been a while.

DL, are you bringing spools? I'll bring cash... did the shirts arrive?

I'm not sure I have any spools left but, I'll bring some ARB's. the only shirts that came in is the girls nirc shirts.. One is liz's and one is swezy's wife. I'll bring them for those guys, I have another shipment coming in monday.

Jake, are you coming tomorrow?

Nope, I wish I could, but I have to work. Maybe in a few weeks all the OT will settle down and I can actually do something.

Ok guys.. I'll bring goodies.

I'm all gassed up.. Just gotta finish a few things..

I just took it around the basement for the first test drive.. It feels better than any r/c I've built.. I'm impressed so far. I can't facking wait!

Any of you guys with Curries...grease those bitches up. If you go through high water you may want to re-grease. Granted my bearings are about a year old, I've never had them seize up like this. I think these axles just tend to let the water in more than others.

Well shit.. I think my new WP 7950 took a dump. I don't know.. It was working fine.. I drove it around for like 3 minutes.. Went to drive it again & it just twitches.. It recognizes power but, it doesn't respond to input.. It just twitches a little bit. I changed the BEC to 7.4v after to see if it wasn't getting enough juice and..nothing.

I'll have to pull it out of there & put the 7950 out of the other truck and see if that works.. Its kind of a pain to get out of this rig though..

I gotta run this thing tomorrow!

Edit: well, the other servo does the same thing. The problem is elsewhere. But, it just worked. Hmmm

I think it may be a radio problem.. Those little "bars" on the 4pl screen that move back & forth as it reads input.. Well, with the truck off.. The radio stutters between like 0%-10% and you can barely see the bar move.

Then, I throttle it and you can see that bar move 0%-100%

Hmmm.

Ok, I found it. It was some weird setting on my TX that when I hit one of the side switches, it basically turns the power to the servo off.. So, I changed that to function a ch3, which nothing is connected to that.

Ok thanks. Bye

I did it! I'm ready for a trial run tomorrow. I slapped some trial run primer on it, gonna repaint for august. I got my servo winch up & working. I hooked up the snatch block, hook & pull pal.. Aww yeah.

jesus... i read a few posts back and thought i borked yer servo. good to hear it wasnt the case.

maybe it was posted, but what time we meeting up?

I just took a picture of that post. How bout your procedure for a mamba max pro?

ive done a couple mmps but i haven't submarined any of them yet.

decase it.
fill the sensor port and fan port with dielectric grease.
tape off the motor and batt wires, be sure not to cover up any circuit board or block areas from getting sprayed with the tape.
tape off the heatsink REAL good but make sure the little gap between the heatsink and circuit board is visible.

i dont bother taping the servo wire.

then spray the conformal. i do a couple light coats, then some heavy ones until i see its built up pretty good, then i house areas that have gaps or voids to make sure the conformal has got everywhere.

when its all dry, take off the masking tape and use alchohol where the conformal leaked onto the heatsink or wires, pick out the crust of conformal over the top of the sensor and fan port (that were filled full of dielectric grease), snap the case back on.

i dont do anything to the fan.

good time before putting the case back on to bypass the on/off switch and tuck the trimmed wire into the case.

it just occured to me that some drain holes drilled in the case wouldnt be a bad idea.
