Walking Dead and other zombie shows

I mean like the ones that hang around the prison fence in Walking dead. But Yeah I get what You mean, flamethrower wouldn't be my weapon of choice in Zombie apocalypse

That thought crossed my mind last night too. The heat would weaken the fence in real world physics, but in a zombie movie that might just work. Of course the smoke and noise may draw more their way. I have a feeling they're all going to be looking for a different place to call home within the next episode or two anyway. Darryl, Michone, Tyrese and that other guy have now drawn the attention of the biggest mega-herd I've seen since the shows begining. They aren't going to be able to walk away from that encounter without the herd following them back to the prison. It wouldn't surprise me if the Govenor wasn't the one drawing them to the fences. Don't be surprised if he shows up in the next week or two.

it was the show named "TS-19" where the CDC guy told rick everyone has what turns them to zombies after death....so from that point I think the world got infected with that and people who died turned....

the crazy little girl that names the dead is feeding them.
Hmmm, hadn't thought of that angle.

Yup, thats the one. Test Subject 19 was the CDC guys wife.

I'll take a heavy machete and some improvised light armor "thumbsup"

Gerber makes a handy little knife set:
Yup, and I have to say that this kit would probably be the best thing to have for close range combat. I think Carl has the right idea with the homemade silencer, but ammo will run out eventually. Better to smack them with a hatchet or machette and conserve the ammo for a "last stand" situation.

You have to remember that entertainment is paramount, not realism.

Were there to be an actual zombie apocalypse, long/med range takedowns would be best. Anything done shortrange would be best done silently.

Also, slaughtering what used to be people via fire or heavy armament would likely be too much to take for viewers.

Fire would only work if you could provide a constant source of fuel. Zombies don't feel nor care about pain, so just lighting their clothes on fire won't do much, unless you fry their eyeballs and blind them.

If you want to take the physics/physiology argument to that and say "yeah, but if you burn them enough they'll fall apart". True, but that would take a while, and the bigger killer of zombies would be natural causes anyway.

i would definitely be motivated to get to the coast or a big body of water and get my ass on a boat...

seems you could salvage supplies from other docked boats pretty easy. there are usually gas stations and non perishable stuff around docks as well.

itd be easy to secure a dock, or just drop anchor offshore.
