Thank you,,,, Tom sent you a pm about the Winch,,,Robert

Are these winches waterproofing?

The servo has the rubber o rings, but after machining the back for the spool to sit inside where the pot was, A o-ring could be installed there . I use Hi Temp wheel bearing grease in the servo gear box ,The motor could be sealed ,,I dont sell them as water proofed, If you want one send me a pm,,,We can discuss trying ,, Thank you ..Robert,,,

KMS Winches has some retail seller's ..
Blue Monkey RC ,Has came up with a few new great ideas to help with the use of a K3 winch, plus all the other great parts that He has,,

Matt has a NEW K3 fairlead /mounting kit,,It looks sweet,,, K3 Winch Mount with Fairlead for BMRC, Blue Monkey RC

I followed Matts idea and contacted RPP Hobby | Radio Controlled Cars, Trucks, Boats, Helis, Planes, Plastic Models
I have done this to make it easier for you who want a winch ,,now,,

Hope this helps ,,Robert,,,

Robert,

Hello there. I recently contacted Matt Hahn over at Blue Monkey. I had bought one of your KMS free spool winches. This is what I wrote to him, and this is what he responded:

"Hello there. A few months ago, I bought a KMS free spool winch. I was using it at one time, not necessarily loading it at all, as I was trying to put the winch line back. Something started to smoke. I disconnected wires and the battery ASAP. By the way, I was using a RC4WD wireless remote control and a Castle Creations BEC at 6volts in between. Now, the winch does not want to seem to spool in, only out. But it does it really slowly. I've checked it out with different wireless remotes that I have, same thing. Do you have any suggestions?

Sorry for the bother."

"Hi Ever, no problem at all. i would you suggest you send it to KMS. i will contact Robert and let him know its coming. he's a great guy and will take care of his product. are you in the US? thx.

-matt"

I wasn't sure how else to contact you. This is my email address: bhonda98@aol.com

Not sure where to send to.

Robert's work is top notch, and so is his word. He was more than patient to help me out set up my winch. At first I thought my winch was fried, and without hesitation willing to help. He walked me through the steps and figure out what to do. Many emails were exchanged, even a phone call. Seriously, anyone who dares to bash Robert for his work and or service, is or will be making a very bad mistake. If I ever want another winch, I know who to contact. Excellent service Robert!
