Gmade r1 KOH

Begin building this as a rock racer/trail basher in 2.2... but after watching some koh videos at my 1:1 dealer, i decide to take that route...

- r1 gmade kit
- r1 delrin skid plate
- r1 bent lower links rear, straight front
- r1 custom upper front, stock rear
- r1 shocks brace rear, custom front
- r1 new panels
- r1 Screwz SS hex hardware all around
- HH brxl/13t waterproof combo, waterproof Hitec servo, Spektrum sr200 waterproof receiver
- shocks droop setting
- Front Drive CVA Kit (2) for R1 Axle
- 4x RC4WD "Rok Lox" 1.9 Comp Tires (ordered)
- 4x Pro-Line FaultLine 1.9" Beadlock Wheel (Black/Black) (ordered)
- custom steering drag link
- Gmade alu servo plate/mount
- Wild Willy driver
- Axial exo radiator (ordered)
- some scales items (ordered)
- custom spare trire mount (in fabrication)

Wheelbase is approx. 11.5"

Possible next upgrades : alu knukcles, chubs, links mount,...
And have to find a light weight spare tire/beadlock and probably change my driver for the one with a smaller head...:roll:

Its time for some updates...

-i changed my driver... fit better
-got my new RC4WD "Rok Lox" 1.9 Comp Tires and Pro-Line FaultLine 1.9" Beadlock Wheel (Black/Black)
-relocate the front/rear ''upper'' shocks
-installed my radiator
-installed some custom grill front
-installed front lights/led
-finished my interior and some scale items

I also ordered 2x Gmade XD Aeration Shock 62mm to put in the from and cut out the shocks loop (will see if i liked it first!)
And waiting for Dravpnir to finish his Wraptor

Finally received everything i needed to complete the steering mod...

Had some time to begin the wrapter mod...

And a bit more time to completed it...
Best mod ever... (ok probably the only one for the R1:lmao

Only problem now is to find a long enough steering link!!! lol

The one on my pics fit quite nice but i'll do a custom one slighly longer so i'll gain some more precious steering degrees...

Curious as to why you ran a bent link in the rear but ran a stock/straight link up front.

Also curious about this wraptor mod, any more info?

I went with 4ws very soon after getting my R1 and gotta say it's an amazing difference, I'd highly recommend the mod.

i'm now the owner of this rig. I can't answer for him about the links but as for the look, It looks more like a KOH with the front straight links. It made the wheelbase a bit longer and since it's wider with the steering mod, it handle better with the longer wheelbase.

it now sits on 2.2 chisel. tomorrow a try with 1.9 mickey thompson

And rear bent links give a bit more clearance too...
