Jezus freekin crimminine, when the hell did the cost of these shirts go thru da roof?? I'll admit, I normally don't buy dress shirts on a regular basis, but 2 day ago I decided that I wanted to look as good as possible for my 2nd interview with Black and Decker for a paid internship, so I goes to the shopping mall and start searching out a new shirt. Once I got measured, I stared finding something in my size. I'm quickly pushed into the 'big and tall' section.

19" neck, 36/37 sleeve length. JFC!!! The best I found was a decently fitting shirt at $32 on sale. Any other 'burly' guys experience this recently??

Ain't cheap being you.

Tell Black and Decker their Dustbusters are sweet.

Need some cheap sunglasses.

Every girl's crazy about a sharp dressed man.

Straighten up that tie.

Google big n tall dress shirts. Find places that offer free returns reduced return shipping or free return shipping. Buy one shirt from 5 or more different manufacturers. Every companies sure it is going to cut differently and to void tailoring if you want a nice shirt that fits well you legit need to try on lots of different shirt and you'll find 1 company who's measurements fit your body

$32 ain't bad for a decent shirt. I live in shorts and tank tops most of the time but when it comes time to play dress up there is no need to screw around with cheap crap that doesn't last or doesn't fit well.

The regular price was $58, it was on sale. I agree that it's better to buy a quality product.

Dress shirt and slacks 4 days a week for me. They are definitely not cheap, the other thing is shoes.

My issue is that my posture at work has a tendency for me to lean on my left elbow a lot while I am drawing/thinking. So I end up tearing them in the same spot. Frustrating.

I do wear a lot of Polo's though, which are a little cheaper but can last longer if you buy good ones. I have Lacoste Polo's that are up to 8 years old.

Hey Walt....Good luck with the internship. I get most of my dress shirts at Kohl's.

BTW... I found a great spot for trailing near sam lewis. You need to get up here some day and we can go for a rip.

Price is about usually no matter the size. Trick for me is to catch sales or shop at the discount places like Roth's dress for less. I like expensive shirts as they don't rub my neck raw. Usually Ralph Laren or the like.

Another good spot both online and local for me is Haggard, I've have good luck with them and there suites aren't bad for the price.

Like Harley said, the shoes are the worst to buy. Still haven't found a comfy set and there always $80 plus

I had to go 2 hours to find a shirt and jacket for a friends wedding. No one locally carried the 54 long jacket I needed. I found it at Destination XL. Bloody expensive but it is a quality piece and it fits well.

But a good pair of dress shoes will last a lifetime (if you never wear them except to weddings and job interviews, which sounds like most of us).

I hate buying suites! I've only bought 2 in my life and by the time I needed to wear them the 2nd time... I was too fat to fit in them! :lmao:
