Here's another new item for Heyok,,, It's the slow start winch controller with the resettable fuse ,,After testing ,,"thumbsup""thumbsup" yep 2 of them ,,I highly recommend anyone with one of my winches to upgrade to this controller ,The best reason to me is it wont do the winch run away thingy when the radio is turned off ,,yahoo Heyok ,,The guys are going to like this product ,,Plus It has the resettable fuse ,,helps protect my winch and line ,,Yes The slow start is cool option as well,,, Robert ,,,

I used both the k3 and ur free spool winch this weekend in a comp and again I will say I'm impressed with the balls these winches have and the free spool is flat out sick

Blue Monkey rc should have K3 in ,,RPP hobby Should have both ,,Iam still healing up from a ladder accident ,,so moving very slowly ..But been supplying both hobby shops .... Thank you Robert
 
I just bought a K3 freespool and was going to bring back the question of waterproofing. Anytips or tricks?

Also, is the freespool extended shaft stainless or regular steel? I would like to weld on an extension since the winch is up under my hood.

Bill has came up with a idea that seems to be working for water proofing the K3 servo winch . the shaft for the free spool push pin is stainless ,,might try cutting a 3mm thread on the end and using a link,

As most of you know I have been using Tower Pro servo's for my servo winches ,It helps keep my cost down and makes it worth while to spend days no weeks in my shop building winches ,,I have been buying most my servos from one guy on ebay for the K3 /K2 180 servo winch ,,After my last order from him, it will be my last order from him ,,He has slipped me some TP clone type servo junk at 200.00 out of my pocket ,,Last time for him he can keep his 5 star rating ,,and sell his junk to someone else ,,
Now for the good news ,,My friend Patrick at Locked up Has helped me with a good contact for my servo's right from Tower Pro,, They have been up graded ,,new motor and gears ,,And there will be a new K3 added to the line up after testing ,,The servo's are costing me more each ,but I will be getting the same servo every order. I have had a few motor failures .Shouldn't be a issue any more ,,finger's crossed ,, If you have any problems with your winch and it needs repair send me a pm for my shipin address ,,so far just motors ,, There are K3 180 servo winches out there being used that are 4 years old ,,Not bad ,, Thank you for letting me rant and thank you to the Vendors that supply us here on RCC,,, Robert,,,.

Good news my first batch of servo's got here and the new servo's are great ,I have been testing one K3 & its a horse ,,,Great speed/power ,,Gonna make a great servo winch ,,Have 4 more to convert over and test ,,,Robert,,,

The servos I'd be interested in sending you a few of are the Turnigy tgy-5521MDHV servos. 338oz for about 30 bucks. They are aluminum case tho. If your interested in doing it let me know a price per servo to convert.

Looks like I have been slacking ,,;-) ,,There order is on the work bench ,,Should be two weeks ,,I will try to pick up the pace ,,Just I want them to be good quality ,,so it takes awhile ,,You need the best I can build,

I had one sitting in my cart for about a week while i was adding items for a current build, and i went to go check out on Sunday and they were sold out:cry: I just placed an order with matt over at bluemonkey, he said he had three in stock. I will get one from him, just have to pay the shipping again.
