So the "CAT" is out of the hat, and Ive decided that my next in depth Personal build would be the CAT 773G quarry dump, Ive always wanted to build a Quarry dump but was unsure of which model... ive scaled down the 773 and its a perfect fit for my requirements and will work just fine on my personal layout. This build will be in depth no detail will be ignored, with full interior detail including engine and it components, lights, sound, etc.... I scratch built everything except wheels tires and drive-train.

Here is the inspiration...

I downloaded some pics of the engine and started to design it and get it ready for print

upgraded the turbos, but im nowhere near done, still a ton more detail to go into it, im barely scratching the surface but its getting there, better pics tomorrow

So i had some time to myself the other day and got around to making the frame

I liked how it came out considering it was my first time dealing with brass on a bigger scale

but after succesfully making the one side I realized it was too time consuming to do it this way so i reverted back to good old aluminum

also finished up engine design and ran the test print... very pleased...

Ran some prototypes for the front suspension, almost happy with it, still needs tweaking, im trying to get it as close to the real deal while getting functionality out of it

got the double wheel adapter all figured out

then i decided to take apart my trans because rc4wd is notorious for sending them with minimal lubrication inside, plus i needed to paint it to match the motor anyway

and i finally got around to adding detail to the motor with some 1/16 aluminum rod and some electrical wiring and paint

got a little more done in the late a.m. hours, decided to mount the motor and trans into the frame before starting on the cab...

Ive wanted to update this for a while but Ive been SUPER busy with customer builds and getting orders taken care of so here are a few more pics of some progress... Every time I figure out one thing, another puzzle pops up, and there i go looking up more pics and different angles lol.... Slowly but surely its coming along...

well got a little more done.... messed around with some more brass work and details...

"helping hands" are mans best friend! no more BURNS!

Had some me time the other day and decided to finish the smaller details on this build sO I did some hydraulic lines and intake/exhaust piping....
