Good Ol' Discussion

Not on that issue he's not. The christian mindset is SUPPOSED to be about arms wide open for all sinners (everyone). Yet that's the farthest thing from most right wing christians in the US.

A big fat THANK YOU for that.

They hypocrisy running through the conservatives is unbearably thick. They're all about unborn babies and religious freedom (for themselves), but when it actually comes down to actually being a FAWKING CHRISTIAN and following Christ, they fall flat on their self absorbed faces. They quote the OT so much it makes we wonder if they even know the NT exists.

Jesus taught love and compassion for ALL mankind. Not just the ones you like, or the ones that look like you or believe like you, everyone.

A Christian with common sense. First of all we as a country can't afford it and hand outs really don't help in the long run. Just makes most people more dependent.

So if Jesus knocks on your front door right now and asks why you aren't willing to help, you'll just say "Sorry bro, I don't think we can afford it." ?

Have you even ever read the NT?

I will tell him I help enough just look at the taxes I pay. If your looking for more help than that go knock on dudes door. He has plenty of money he would love to help. :lmao:

Sad excuse for a Christian and an American... the 2 things you spout off about most.
S ARR T 8, Do you believe in either the ideals of Christianity or America?
From your responses here it sure as hell doesn't sound like it.

I see your back from your fight for 15 March. I sure don't believe in the same America you do. But that's ok we can disagree. That's what makes this country so great right?

IMHO, the right to disagree with you on the internet is pretty low on the list of what makes this country great.

If you think that's the top ideal of America, no wonder you post all this garbage and hate for your fellow man.

Don't thank me, I had nothing to do with religion being so ridiculous. It kind of did that on it's own. ;-)

All religion is a joke but christianity is our own (the US) joke, so 'we' take it more personal. It's no different than extremist muslims really. People who say "Well we don't go out and commit terrorism" are plain and simple sheep. We've gone to WAR on the basis of christianity almost as much as any historical regime in power.

The only difference between muslim extremists and christian extremists is that ours are vastly militarized where as they are not. A few suicide bombers/gunman ain't got nothin' on a army of tanks/boats/planes.

Your entitled to your own opinion. Then again opinions are like assholes.

When was the last time a Christian beheaded another person and put it on the internet?

The deeper we go into each religion the more bitter truth comes out:roll:

Human thinking is part emotion and part logic but never fully logical, otherwise we would have been robots. Due to this very fact of how our biological brain works, it is a complex cluster fawk that leads to building up security shields like 'Religion'.

This all will not end so soon and not in a nice way if it ever does. It will take re-programming at once, all brains that are plagued by this virus. But human brains cannot be re-programmed as simply as pressing an 'Clean and install' tab.

Our current actions are like a leverage arm that stretches into our future. Little actions now create a massive change in the future. Apply this to where humanity is going within a longer time frame of couple thousand years in the future. See something?

A little puddle in which there are couple of frogs. Each frog crocks to show the other frog how mighty he is. Each frog thinks that little puddle represents the world. If only it was possible to realise on a mass scale, how negligible we all are in this massive universe....

On another note,

My old barber shop that i've gone to for over 5 years has changed owners. Went in one day
and instead of the older Scottish couple and the normal staff, there's a 40 year old Asian guy
playing on his phone out the front of the shop next to a vending machine and a kid inside (his son
I'm guessing) cutting someones hair.

I get told to use the vending machine and there's 3 options.

Neck shave
Hair cut
beard trim

All ten dollars now, he was happy to tell me and he had even printed out
a list of the "old" prices next to the vending machine. I only wanted a neck shave
and I was already there so I did it. Put ten dollars in, got a ticket printed out
and was told to sit down and wait.

After going through what just happened in my head and watching him sit next to me playing on his phone
I told him "this setup isn't right"

He said "you're wrong, this is how we will get customers" then proceeded to try and show me something on his
phone. I said " how about you keep the ten dollars and don't worry about the haircut" and walked out.

This shop has a lot of old clientele/elderly clientele that have gone there for years. The old guy
getting his haircut from the kid looked at me and heard what happened and probably walked out
after. He had a look on his face like he didn't want to be there either.

Nothing against him being Asian, I couldn't give a shit what he looked like, I just felt like someone
waiting for a sandwich at a stand. Getting a haircut is pretty personal and it's nice to be treat
as such, especially for older people. If you're in your 20's and getting a no.2 cut maybe its a bit different.

Nothing against the kid either, I mean he's learning, whatever.... The way the shop was setup
in my opinion (and the guys behaviour) was miles off from anywhere I would be spending my money.

Thoughts???
