Axial rr10

Yeti and Bomber have different servo requirements. 375oz/in is pretty weak for an axle mounted servo with 2.2s

FWIW, for those on a tight budget, a 17t pinion will make the Bomber noticeably faster. I had one laying around and decided to try it with the 35t and its much improved :ror:

Just purchase a Hitec 7950. It has 403oz of torque at 6V and 486oz of torque at 7.4V. I know its a little over twice the price but its the last servo you will ever have to buy. Not to mention their customer service is top notch if you ever need them.

I have 3 Hitec 7954sh servos and really like them. I think my next will be one of those 7950s or maybe go nuts and get a 7980. I love that the bomber has so much room under there to fit any standard size servo easily.

Been enjoying futaba s9157. Hood amount of power, speed but i my favorite aspect is how quiet these things are. No chatter at all.

I just got my first order from RPP Hobby. I can steer now! What you can see is a Savox SA-1230SG servo, a Racers Edge servo horn, and an SSD steering links set for an Axial Wraith. What you can't see is a Castle bec. I am working on installing my RC4WD Baja Designs Squadron Pro LED light pods.

I'm going to wait on installing the Vanquish rear upper suspension links I bought. The rest of the suspension pieces were out of stock. I'll order those and a brushless motor/esc after Christmas.

I mounted my RC4WD Baja Designs Squadron Pro LED light pods. Axial must have known people would mount lights in front because there is a factory bracket with a hole in it. I used a pair of Axial hex head screws and some plastic spacers. The screws just self tapped into the brackets that came with the light pods. I don't have the lights hooked up yet.

So I've been running the HH puller pro 3500kv with MMP and all I've changed in the transmission is the pinion to 10T. I've been running it pretty fast and hard even did a little skate park bashing. I've got about 4 packs through it in this configuration and no problems whatsoever. Just thought I'd share. We'll see if it still holds up over time..

Does it crawl well with this setup?

This is my first crawler and I haven't spent time with any experienced crawlers to know much about this so I'm not super qualified to say. I will say that I have loads of torque with the 4 pole motor and the resolution at low speeds is unbelievable. I'm just starting to get used to it really, even just the slightest difference on throttle trigger is super controlled and steady. I think if I kept everything as is and simply set a throttle end point at like 10 or 20 percent that I'd have plenty of control at super low speeds and that would really be good for crawling.

That's good to hear. I'm baffled I don't have this kind of control. I have the pro 4 3100 and Holmes mmp. As soon as I touch the throttle it goes. I've dropped to 10t pinion and even got a new spectrum remote. As much as I've spent I just can't get good low end control. I've played with all the settings so I'm working on a throttle curve to see if that helps. I've tried expo and everything. Haven't ran it for a few days due to pouring rain so I'm hoping for some better results.

Expo on the Spektrum and the MMP. Set the esc to a nice curve, then fine tune even further on the transmitter.

Expo on the esc? And I hear some people use negative expo on the transmitter? I have a nice curve that tapers out to about 75% of full throttle. Slowed it down overall since it's not a basher.

Throttle curve, not expo. Same thing though. Use the castle link, something like this works well for me.

Thanks. Yes I'm close to that. Now if this day would end so I could go drive it and find out. My indoor tests look promising.
