Show me your SCX10 Proline 1972 Chevy C10 build

I've always liked old American trucks and fancy building one using the Proline 1972 Chevy C10 - part number 3251-00.

Pro-Line 1972 Chevy C-10 Body 3251 for 1:10 Truck

From the research I've carried out, the body measures approx 15" long x 6" wide x 5" tall.

The stock Axial chassis is approx 16 1/4" long making it 1 1/4 too long so I'm tempted to cut my chassis rails to shorten it.

I'm currently running 1.9" wheels with Mickey Thompson Class 1 Baja Claws. I've been looking at 1.55" wheels for this build.

Has anyone else used this body on there SCX10? If so, please post photos.

Thanks but is that a Proline 1972 Chevy C10 part number 3251-00?

It looks longer than the chassis rails? The dimensions I found, measure the body being about 1" shorter than the rails.

No it's not longer than the chassis rails.You can clearly see the rails in the pics.The one you linked is for a Stampede.Its pretty small.Too small for the SCX10 chassis!

Not an SCX10, but here's the body on my Sawback. I never liked the way it fit with this chassis and tire combo, but I haven't tried it on anything else yet.

But come to think of it I'm currently converting my SCX10 to a Dingo wheelbase.

This body started out as a nitro MT body i got for $5. I used "stacks" to cover the existing body mount holes.
