ETRC OCTOOOOBER Comp

I will be there and there are at least 3, possibly 5 more scale guys coming from Nashville.

There are at least three or four more local guys that aren't on the Forum that will be there too.

For some, only thing I dread is having to leave the house at 4am. But I think Sic1to might be wondering if he might get beat in all classes this time... oh BTW, I have my 2.2 scale built this time... not everything is how I want it, but it is close!!!

Thanks for having us out today guys! Had a blast. Hope to come again soon. I have quite a few pics but only on Facebook

THAT is how a comp is done! Great job guys. Many thanks go to Rusty, Lee, Tommy, Vaughan, Tai, Bobby, Ray and anyone else that helped build, score and clean up. I haven't seen that many different people judging in a long time. Thank you!

Big props to the other Kevin for stepping up and building a new pro-mod rig. For your first time out, you were doing great "thumbsup" Glad to see my favorite class getting bigger.

I had a blast, the rock was world class and the weather (albeit a tad cool) was perfect.

Told you I was going to kill it with the stock Dead Bolt. I won right? :lmao:

Seriously though... that hurt  You scale guys have some impressively built rigs.

Finally... I just want to say that Ray can kiss my butt on both cheeks for beating us all so bad with the truck I sold him. Pucker up buttercup.

Anyway... looking forward to the next. Will start talking about it soon.

Man, what a blast. I second what Harvo said about THAT being the way a comp should work. Everyone helping makes it go so much smoother and easier for everyone involved. And it's easy to judge when the drivers call their own penalties, which is how it was with every driver. Impressive. And just as impressive was the spot. Wow. This place has everything. Parking near the rocks. Restrooms. Shade. Tables. I know the leaves don't make driving easier but sure makes it easier on the old peoples legs rather than those hard rocks all day. And the rocks were awesome. More gates than you can imagine and nice grip in the dry. A little of everything for the drivers. Thanks for letting me come and play. I enjoyed meeting all the new guys from the west. Hope you make it regularly.
Special thanks to Harvo for selling me that truck and always making this outsider feel so welcome. Always a pleasure comping with you and learning from you. Also, to Brent, Vaughn and brother Rusty for the fellowship and barbeque after the comp. Great choice of food and even better company. That brisket was amazing.
And to my two fellow musketeers, Tommy and Bobby (my son...lol), you guys always make the trip worthwhile just to hang out, but thanks for the help, the coaching and making an old geezer from SC feel like part of the regular group. And by the way, great driving.
Hope I can make the next one.

Just got a PM from the other Kevin. For some reason the site says he doesn't have access to post on this thread. Does anyone know who the moderator is for the comp section anymore? We need to see why he can't post.

Made everything go so smooth and for all that stepped up to judge, helps out more than you know, "thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup". Had a few small issues with scoring, nothing major but we will iron those out next comps drivers meeting. I am barely able to move today but it was Well worth it, had more fun at this comp than I have had in a while and for Ray to beat Harvo with the truck Harvo just sold him... Priceless  :flipoff: Teach Harvo to sell crawler stuff :lmao:!!! Hope to see everyone at the next one and bring a friend with you, get them hooked on Tiny Toy Trucks like the rest of us!!!
