photobucket what happend

looks like Imgur and Flickr are the top two recomended free hosts.

any recommendations on which one to move to?
i host thousands of photos on lots of threads, that get alot of views. i also need to be able to organize them into albums. and need to be able to upload 5-10 pics at once.

thoughts?

I switched over to Flickr and have re-done my Wraith thread with over 350 photos...easy to use and you can create albums. So far, so good....many more threads of mine to update...ugh!

All my stuff is still showing up. Is this just something that will slowly hit? Or is it waiting for me to login and then notify me about it?

I'm not sure of the rhyme or rhythm as to the timing of how PB is fawking their account holders.... Mine was still active but I deleted everything out of spite.

It's based on bandwidth used. So if a load of people visit your threads (and thus, download the picture from PB to their browser) it will run out fast.
Also, it's "just" for third party hosting (like linking on forums), so on PB's site you'll be able to see them.

I think this might clarify why some people's photos are still appearing:

Terms | Photobucket

under their information about the "plus 500" plan, it says:
ANY PAYING MEMBER WHOSE PLUS ACCOUNT WAS IN GOOD STANDING AS OF JUNE 1, 2017, SHALL CONTINUE TO RECEIVE ALL THE PHOTOBUCKET SERVICES THAT WERE AVAILABLE TO HIM/HER ON SUCH DATE, INCLUDING IMAGE LINKING AND 3RD PARTY IMAGE HOSTING, UNTIL DECEMBER 31, 2018 AS LONG THEY MAINTAIN THEIR CURRENT PLUS ACCOUNT SUBSCRIPTION OR A HIGHER LEVEL PLUS ACCOUNT SUBSCRIPTION DURING SUCH PERIOD OF TIME

Careful, imgur's terms of service don't allow hotlinking either.

"Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it."

Don't worry about that for linking some pics on an RC website. They don't want you to use their free service to cover your commercial projects. It's just worded by lawyers to cover them. I've been using Imgur for years to post images on forums, and there's 0 problems. Just don't set up a webshop and use them as your main content (and bandwidth) host.
