So I haven't owned a rc car of any sort for some time but I've had the itch again recently and this popped onto my radar.
Brand new LCC.
Tried a HV 30+KG Trackstar TS910 up front...Im expecting good things if it dont catch fire....im staying brushed 35 for now with a old HPI w/p ESC,a new basic mod motor and some nice fresh HB Sedonas white compound.
This is my first DIG rig too.
The losi Night Crawler in the background was bought artr second hand a week ago.....totally bitten with the rc bug again :)
Yoshi.

A private seller on ebay in open auction,I was the only bidder but paid proper dollars.....£150 collected,I couldnt hand my money over fast enough.... :)

Man that’s an awsome find ! Great lookin rig

Ok...1st stump....where are you guy's getting nice wide pinions from?
Ive run the motor in,and fitted it to find...
"She's got quite a bit of wheel speed"

Ive used the 20t pinion from the NC,im on 3s/35t brushed....got to go at least 16t...but nothing in my spares is anything as wide as this losi one...it would be nice to keep a full contact area on the spur if I can.
Any input?

Nice rig, brings up a lot of great memories. You've got Rovers not Sedonas, great tire. Get some CI foams for them and they will perform amazingly. CI recomends 5.25" Dual stage foams, I'm using 5,5" Comp Cut foams as I like a bit stiffer and taller tire. I did cut the side pins also.

Rovers it is...not sure what foams are in these...I considered cutting them but there very pliant as is...they came loaded from the previous owner although they are spanking.

The UBEC is sort of in...
Wow what an improvement with the servo performance, instantly snappy, much happier :)
Ive yet to source a servo for DIG duty unless I find one in the parts skip so im leaving the final placement of UBEC until I pop a servo in...ill chop the wires last when its placed..I cant stand bundles of wire everywhere.
Still no pinions....ive bought a couple now but finding nice wide tooth profiles...6mm...is proving to be a rite royal....
Still no proper stick time. The radio.....
So im sorta buzzin a bit because I bought the new dx5c...it is one of the few that has everything I need, with some further trick stuff that I dont currently...it just doesnt feel good in my hands.....it just feels awkward for now...perhaps I need more time on it but it doesnt feel comfy?

Heres to a pinion a servo and another hour on the bench.

I use Losi pinions. They have a real fat diameter for the set screw. Equal to the outer tooth diameter, pretty much.

Im looking for 13-16 not many around...literally thousands of various brands around but very few in stock or wide enough......I know the ones I have will work somewhat but I want full contact on the spur...not some namby pamby lightweight jobbie....
Ive found em in the states but not cheap..
