Proline GRUNT 1.9 tire.

Good find!

I don't think Proline would make a military specific tire, but I could be wrong.

It says G8 rock terrain tire on the ProLine site. Interesting.

Just ordered new Krawlers in Pred compound. Looks like ProLine might be taking more of my $.:lmao:

(sorry for the big pic)

A military tire indeed"thumbsup"

Nice to see Proline release a narrower tire.

Very generic tire. Kinda disappointing, but it's not my cup of tea anyway. Still cool to see Proline branching out.

Now what new body is in that photo?

Yep, it's a Unimog. As for the tires, I could see using them on something like a Unimog build, or some other type of "support vehicle." Actually, they would have looked pretty bad-ass coupled with the Proline Utility bed truck.(Although I think they've discontinued that)

This reminds me of the Michelin XL tires we used on the larger trucks in the desert. Our main sizes were 25.00 x 20 tubeless "super singles" on the heavy trucks and 14.00 x 25 for our instrumentation trucks. They worked well in the sand and were passable in rocky areas.

The lighter 4x4 trucks using the tall tires and Allison transmissions could actually stop beside a Toyota Landcruiser that couldn't make it up part of a sand dune and then start again up the dune with no trouble. This even though the Toyota tires ran reduced pressure in the sand while the Michelins were at normal road pressures.

Shame they are only 4.4 tall. The stock umg10 tires are taller! They actually do pretty well on rocks also

A 4.4" tall tire would be perfect for one of my builds. Running 4.25" tall tires now and they are a tab bit short (plus not a military tread pattern like I wanted). If only these were cheaper because I need 12 tires!

Therese would go perfect on an HMMWV (aka Hummer H1), especially paired up with RC4WD's Humvee 1.9" wheels (Z-W0119).

~ More peace, love, laughter, & kindness would make the world a MUCH better place
