One more Backyard Crawler Course....

Yeah, we started about the same time, I still have my first RC10, all decked out with Lunsford TI (I was Kelly's first customer) Resistor speed control and everything. And no swiss cheese.!!! "thumbsup"

I didn't think stomp was serious, but couldn't let it go. Thanks for the laugh stomp. And it sounds like we both have sweethearts for wives!
Ernie

Yeah from the sounds of it we both have great wives. Mine has been one of the most supportive women I have known. I am definitely fortunate.

I still have my first RC as well. A Kyosho Inferno 10 from around 1990 I think. Also still have the RC10GT from 1993. That was the last of my rc fun till last year when I discovered rc crawlers.

Still have my first RC ever, 1984 Tamiya Grasshopper, a gift from my Dad as a graduation gift. Still have a vintage Kyosho Vanning, several 1st gen RC10T's and 1st gen Traxxas Rustlers that my boys used to run.

That's why I love this forum, people like Ernie and Stomp, great guy with positive compliments and the other, offering great marital advice for free!:lmao:

Thanks to both of you"thumbsup"

Did some touch up's with paint on the rock faces. Trying to make the concrete look more realistic.

Inspired by many on this forum who built a backyard crawler course, and the fact there's nowhere to crawl around here, I decided to try my hand at it. First, had to get approval from Da Boss (Wife):) Once she gave her blessing, there were several stipulations.....

No mudpits, cannot look like a messy rock quarry and it should have some type of shrubbery around it. Since that was not what I had in mind, I stood my ground and said "Yes Dear":lmao:

Anyway, here we go.....

I redid my crawler course this spring...FUN

Haha awesome!

Forgot that my first RC was actually a Tamiya Hornet, but I think it was about 1985. I was just a wee lass at that point, and loved that thing. Wish I still had it though, not sure what happened to it, but I suspect that when I got the Inferno 10, I got rid of it since I had a big kids toy. Still can see that little black and Orange buggy zipping around the yard. My brother got one a year or two latter, but it was a little different style and red.

Great Idea indybama! I have a professional artist in my family, will be reaching out to them. Maybe get a Moab/Grand Canyon type mural on the vinyl fence, that would look sweet!

The Hornet and the rest of the Tamiya lineup were awesome RC vehicles. Too bad you don't still have it. I updated the esc, receiver and upgraded to a 540 motor on my Grasshopper. Still runs great, my oldest granddaughter plays with it now, still have great memories of my boys playing with old reliable back in the day.

I tried uploading a video from my cell thru tapatalk and it said it was too large a file. Any suggestions on how to correct that?
