RC Scale Trail

Hello I'm looking for some scale events in my Area I live in Putnam conn I don't mind if I have to travel don't have to be events could be just a group that goes on trail runs

hey guys, new to crawling and the site but I live in sc and ive been to "lets Go Racing" in Myrtle beach and its an awesome indoor crawling course. the pictures of the courses on here are just amazing. WOULD YOU JUST LOOK AT IT!

Living in South Jersey everything is pretty much flat. Our 1:1 wheeling around here is mostly playing in the mud holes. Not much for elevation changes. Same goes for the backyard. Me and the Grandkid have been slowly building our crawler area. "Piners Gulch" is what it is called so far by me. Always looking for ideas and save them all on my computer. Tons of ideas in my head but as usual, execution isn't always there. So anyway. Here's a little slideshow of our progress so far. Started with a mud run and spread out form there. Gonna build up some with wood around it. I know its not gonna lend itself to looking scale, but need to get a little elevation going.

I found this spot yesterday near town at a park. Three baseball fields and a kiddie playground make a lot of runoff when it rains. There's a series of these to handle it. Poured concrete with big rocks that look like they were thrown into the wet cement. Loose rocks at the bottom.

This is the course me and my brother have been working on in my backyard, a couple bridges, a waterfall, pond, and some scale accessories so far.

I've changed quite a few things on my scale course, just a teaser picture but I will take some good shots this weekend.

Finally got a break in the weather so started my backyard course, did a lot more work since pics but this is what I have...

I've built some new obstacles and changed some lines, the course is weathering in quite nice but it's time to change some up, I also want to pour some kind of plaster or concrete on some sections and dye them to look like slickrock. I'll take some new pictures this weekend.

While waiting for parts .....

While waiting on parts and supplies for my rigs , I decided to start on my scale trail trial area in my backyard. This is the spot which is going to be done and the start of it all.

So off to the lab I go. My thoughts is a abandoned construction for a tunnel and ramp that stopped for some unknown reason. So this is where it started.

So then I pulled out some styrofoam from Christmas gifts and such with some hot glue and came up with this.

Next I had needed another piece to this awesomeness and started here.

I hope this weekend I will be able to do more and at least add more styrofoam rocks to the ramp and other side. Add a few walls and prime everything. Thanks for checking my work out and all suggestions are happily accepted. More pics coming soon.

I would like to post pictures and share my backyard course with you all that I've had for about 5 years now. It has gone through many changes over that time frame. I get board with it so I change it up a bit here and there. I just need to figure out this picture posting deal. Any help is appreciated. "thumbsup"
