Everyone wants to call it a bruiser

Well i am building a Bruiser right now. MAYBE, I GUESS! It will be all stock. Bruiser frame, axles and all. Except i will be running a r2 tranny and a hi-lift body. I personally don't care much for yotas so i traded it off. I am a ford guy and i didn't care much for the 3 speed so i sold it. But everything else is BRUISER. And i do love it. All the parts are coming back from powder coating tomorrow.

So anyhow, to stay on topic i think it needs the stock frame, axles and body to be considered a bruiser. The tranny isn't as important.

Why do you call it a Bruiser when all you have is a frame?

Nothing else is from a Bruiser. TLT axles, pede trans, traxxax shafts....

It's just rediculous. A frame does not make it a Bruiser

Does this mean you don't like my yota? :-(

Yeah, I just wanted to waste my time & money.

I don't know what it needs to have to still be called a Bruiser, but just a frame is a little far fetched don't you think.

Although, I'd call a 2.2 Hustler w/Bruiser axles & R2 a Bruiser.

Go figure.

I've called one I had a TLT bruiser, TLT being first in the line. But look at all our TLT's, the only TLT parts we even use are the axles.

i think with the evolution of crawlers, insrtead of calling it a run down of what it has it just became easier to say the major component the rig is based on, ie axles, tlt rig, clod rig. but in the case of the bruiser there's a certain prestige and ooh-aah'ment that comes with saying i got a bruiser crawler, although most of us know better "thumbsup"

I'll give ya the bruiser name if you run the axles and frame, or the body and frame. Takes some balls to run that old stuff hard.
