Well I sold my tmaxx and am in the process of getting rid of my 8ight to fund my newest scale build: a 2.2 Chevy Silverado. Im hoping to take this build waay over the top, futher than my highlift buildup.

I picked up the body at toys R us tonight. That was the first thing I did. Wheelbase is right around 12" which is great! I will be adding head and tail lights to it soon. In the pics I have it next to and on my comp rig to show you the dimentions. My comp rig WB is a hair over 12". I picked up 2 scale kayaks but im not sure if im definitly going to use them. Here is a list of what I already purchased tonight:

TLT kit
Diaz Dtrail12 chassis kit with Jugg leaf springs
RC4WD Super Narrow beadlocks(same as on my comp rig)
RC4WD R2 tranny
Scale Cleavis' and hooks for a winch
Moabs
Scale cooler w/ beer cans
Roof Rack
Fire Extinguisher
Kayaks

I plan on adding some more detail to the interior also. There is going to be alot of little details on this truck...which I cant wait to get started on. I will update this thread with pics as my items arrive and i begin the build. I will run this in the scale class, but probably with a different body. Onto the first few pictures:

Here is an extremely quick mock up on my comp rig...just to show the body with 2.2's! It's sitting on the body posts so thats why its so high up.

I had to read the post before I left mine. All I saw was the comp chassis next to the truck and I was like,"that aint scale buddy" Anyways, good luck on the build man the DD chassis will look good!

So this morning I began by installing my lights. I have 4 white in front w/ 2 red in the rear. It runs off of 3 AA batteries. The light buckets that are included with the truck need to be drilled out to accept lights. Worked very well and looks awesome! Just one of my little touches to the build. If only all my other stuff would come in, LOL.

Just picked up another hard body: Mercedes Benz G55
It's going to be a 1.9 build. Not sure what chassis im going to use. Probably a MFM scale chassis in black. It already has headlights so I just need to wire a battery to them with a switch.

Here are a few shots on my 12" WB 2.2 comp rig, just to give you an idea of the size. The wheel base of the Merc is right around 11". Im thinking hummer wheels w/ Highlift tires for scale and my kayak on top with a roof rack.

And I also bought some scale chain, and "rope" for tie downs.

read the first post buddy,

Looking good, those tires look to big on the landy though

You mean Mercedes"thumbsup" and im using 1.9s on that one. Probably highlift tires/hummer wheels.

And I dont understand why some others cant read.

The pics with the bodies on the comp rig are just mock up shots to show wheelbase and such!!! Im using a scale chassis but it hasnt arrived yet.

Its a little slow as im waiting for all of my stuff to come in, but here is a small update on the Merc. I installed a 9 volt battery and used a 2 position switch on the negative wire. I mounted everything up front and made a small plate out of styrene to mount the switch. I plan on making inner fenders so everything will be hidden. The lights that came on the truck are bright. The pic of it shinning on my comp rig is from 6 feet away in a pitch black room. I could go even father but its 2am and I have to go to bed, LOL. Here are the pics. I also just ordered a MFM scale chassis for it and another roof rack from thecrawlerstore.com. Instead of doing two threads, I will build both vehicles in this one thread.
