Air Hogs.............The Best $30 You Can Spend!!!!

I been thinking about getting one of these. Do they have a good range? I have a loft in my house so I have a 20ft ceiling for flying. I've also seen some with really good control, does it take much to get it to fly good?

C'mon...... FUNNER???

Maybe we should got to most funnerest!
Sorry bad habit I picked up from work
But the T-rex is a very nice heli. It justs cost quite a bit had to work overtime for most of the summer to buy it.

the range indoors isn't too bad, at least 20 ft radius maybe? maybe less, but i'm not exactly sure. outdoors though it's about 2 ft radius when it's sunny, and generally better when it's cloudy. you also have to be careful around air-conditioner vents and fans, because even a little airflow will blow it off course very easily. it doesn't take too much skill to fly it though; if you get the trim right, it'll basically hover by itself.

I saw one all pimped out a guy had in the LHS and it looked sweet. All the sweet AL parts look way cool.

after mines had died out I picked this new version over at fry's electronics for $23. Its as good as the havoc. Cheapest way of getting some air time. I used paper clip to get mine to go forward

I've been wondering if any of these little helis are actually flyable...read 'controllable' or just a hunk of ****...lol.

That would probably be the Trex SE, was looking at a lower model but when i saw the shinny i was to tempted. Plus it is stronger than plastic.

is this gonna be another ssmt thing when everyone wants one for a while, then they just die down, and then they disco them and everyone wants one and they go for 200.00 on ebay? 8)

One of my friends got one of those air hog ones. Seemed to be pretty neat. Decided to show him my blade cx while he was using his, blew the little one right out of the sky:)

They're neat for how small they are.

they are indeed funner.

i'm on my second one now, if you tweak the tail you can get it to either hover or have a little more forward motion. i've also found that if its real noisy, you can twist the cockpit a little and get it to quiet down. i definitely plan on getting a better heli someday.

a friend of mine at work put a thumb tack on the front of his and he lost it somewhere in the ducts of the open ceiling at work... i wonder if he messed something up with the pushpin.
