Why is Salvia legal?

Ok I was wondering why salvia is legal and Marijuana is not. I am just curious to why you can buy this "legal" drug at your local head shops. I was recently in my local head shop and saw this stuff in the glass case. The guys told me that I should try some or something i said id pass.... I came home and looked it up on line and came across you tube videos of people doing this stuff here is a few examples, this stuff you hold in about 30 secounds and is supossed to be a very weird experience for about 10 minutes or so and i was just wondering if you guys would know why this is legal and marijuana isnt? just wondering your guys es opinions.

I am just curious on your thoughts about this, i personaly dont understand why this is legal

marijuana has had no studies by the american drug association or w/e. (marijuana should be legal, i dont use it, but it should be legal).

dont know why salvia is though.

Because Salvia is a horrible recreational drug. The "high" isn't as pleasurable or long-lasting as a marijuana high.

If it's use spreads, it will most likely be illegalized, but as it stands now there's just not enough people using it to constitute a threat.

I'm sure there are scores of plant species in the wild that will produce a "high", but you'd have to be a moron to go around inhaling every plant in the forest.

i dont know either. i tried it once and ive tried reefer a few times and salvia is a whole lot worse. you loose total control. but cigaretts and booze are legale too so who knows.

in az its not a felony to have less than an ounce. its only a $100 fine

you can carry it on you and you can smoke it anywhere that it is legal to smoke, and you can sell it as long as you have only had one ounce on you at all times

well I don't know the laws for sure, but I remember that we voted on it back a year ago and it's legal as long as you only have an ounce.

Not exactly legal but you can sell it if you have an Ounce on you and smoke it where you are allowed. What areas are you alowed to smoke it in? Like in citys, out front of stores?

Well its kinda easy, you have a trunk full of a few pounds its illigle...

You can't smoke in any highly populated area or in a nature zone, and not within 20 feet of a public doorway. so basically you can only smoke in you car and your house. and yes i've seen it done, cops carry around digital scales to inforce it.

Still though thats what people normaly do in their car or at their house... not that i havent seen people walking down the rate late at night

ya, but we did it cause like 12 percent of our jails were filled up with people who were smoking an ounce or less of marijuana.

I forget why pot was illegalized but I think it was more political than anything else. Ive heard of salvia before but never tried it.
